"To us, Mr Bond, we are the best."
Review of The Man With The Golden Gun (Ultimate Edition) by
arthurpringle
Advantages: A colourful romp
Disadvantages: Lacks a bit of scope
The Man with the Golden Gun was the ninth film in the James Bond franchise and the second outing for actor Roger Moore. It was released in 1974 when the energy crisis was headline news and the United Kingdom still stood a feasible chance of getting a couple of points in the Eurovision Song Contest. The plot of The Man With The Golden Gun involves Francisco Scaramanga, a refined and expensive 'Hitman' with a big reputation. Scaramanga is especially ... ...London a golden bullet with the numbers '007' engraved on it. It's a clear message that he intends to kill James Bond next. Bond had been on the trail of a 'Solex Agitator', a gadget that can harness the power of the sun, but is now ordered to take some leave lest he should be killed by Scaramanga. Bond being Bond though, he decides that he will go and find this Scaramanga character first. Soon, 007 is playing a game of wits with the 'Solex' and ...

Best Bond Film
Review of Live And Let Die DVD by
Phelthew
Advantages: Lots of great action scenes and overall great
Disadvantages: Bond's a rapist
...to go with my favourite Live and Let Die. Bear in my mind whilst reading this review that I am rather cynical when it comes to James Bond so all praise his high praise
The film starts with the assassinations of three British agents. One is killed by sound in New York, another killed by a bunch of singing and dancing funeral procession in New Orleans and the other by a snake in a voodoo ritual in a Caribbean island called San Monique. San Monique ... ...appear.
The theme for Live and Let Die was written by Paul and Linda McCartney and performed by Paul and the Wings. Most people know this song, the frogs sang it in Shrek 3 as well. It is actually a really good Bond them I'm not a Paul McCartney fan but I liked this. There is a weird part that seems a bit out of place where he's singing something like "If you have a job to do you better do it well" but the music is generally quite good and works ...

The Man with the Golden Gun
Review of The Man With The Golden Gun DVD by
IanM73
Advantages: Great storyline with one of Rogers best performances
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
Following the success of Roger Moores fisrt james Bond film "Live and let die" he was getting established in the role, not an easy thing after taking over from Sean Connery. The public was quickly warming to Roger as the new Bond.
"The man with the golden gun" was rogers second Bond film, made in 1974 at Pinewood studios and filmed in locations of Hong Kong and of course here in Britain.
The casting for the roles was done pretty quick as Christopher ... ...his character "Scaramanga" was just the right part for him to play.
Also a welcome return was given to Clifton james who plays "JW Pepper" whom the audience loved from his part in "Live and let Die" His character is highly amusing as the Louisiana state policeman.
Also amongst the cast was Britt Ekland as "Mary Goodnight" who was another agent helping out Bond. The small henchman "Nick Nack" was played by "Herve Villechaize" and you cannot now ...

Roger Moore's last outing as Bond at 57!!!
Review of A View To A Kill DVD by
pmcds
Advantages: Great fast paced action
Disadvantages: Moore too old, too much killing
...003's corpse, Bond picks up a microchip which is an exact replica of one manufactured by Zorin Industries, owned by the eccentric businessman, Max Zorin. Bond goes undercover to meet Zorin and finds out that he is producing a revolutionary microchip, and that in order to conquer the microchip market, he is planning to destroy Silicon Valley through a series of earthquakes. Bond must team up with oil company owner Stacey Sutton to take on Zorin, his ... ...ease.
Patrick Macnee gives a good turn as a very British horse trainer, Sir Godfrey Tibbett, and Tanya Roberts is good as Bond girl Stacey Sutton, as is Fiona Fullerton as Pola Ivanova. David Yip has a cameo performance. Robert Brown, Desmond Llewelyn and Lois Maxwell return as M, Q and Miss Moneypenny, and the rest of the cast support admirably.
My Opinion
The soundtrack to this Bond ilm haunts me, probably due to the title track, performed by ...

Barbara ... ...Bond 007 the spy who loved me is brilliant. Everything about it, its detail, story, special effects everything about the film is brilliant.
The story is very original and entertaining. One of the best things with this film is that it makes the impossible possible. And i really mean that. It takes a super mad villian and makes a thrilling story.
The special effects to this day are still outstanding. The models of the submarines, the atlantis and ...
