Golden, Golden, Golden Bond
Review of James Bond Ultimate Golden Triple Pack - Goldfinger/The Man With The Golden Gun/Goldeneye (Box Set) by dodgeinator

Advantages: 3 Great Films
Disadvantages: Rather expensive RRP on them in comparsion

Golden, Golden, Golden. Undoubtedly 3 of the best Bonds. First of all theres Goldfinger featuring evil arch villain (you guessed it) Goldfinger, has a strange obsession of murdering people by covering them in solid gold paint. Will Goldfinger succeed in his attempt to rob Fort Knox, surely not, but hey, it's Bond... anything can happen. The Second Golden film, this time, is the Man With the Golden Gun. Here new Bond Roger Moore, takes on new villain ...
...uses a Golden Gun. So when Bond receives a bullet with his name on from him, things start to get a bit heated. Will Scaramanga succeed in assassinating Bond, or will he be made to bite the "bullet". The third Golden Bond is Golden Eye, this sees yet another new Bond, Pierce Brosnan, star in his debut film. Things look bad for Bond when his best friend 006 appears to be assassinated. After a massive electromagnetic pulse, is set off, Bind goes in ... Read review

A View to a Kill
Review of A View To A Kill DVD by IanM73

Advantages: Great last Bond film for Roger
Disadvantages: Not rated as Roger Moore's best Bond

As A View to a kill was the first Bond film I ever saw in the cinema and I have very good memories of it, I thought I should review this one. This was made in 1985 and was Roger Moores last outing as James Bond, he did not really want to do this one as he thought that he was too old at this stage to play the part. The storyline was actually set up for the new Bond Timothy Dalton but there was a last minute hitch and the film Dalton was currently ...
...the role. This had a very good cast setting With Roger in the title role, Christopher Walken playing the main villain Max Zorin, Grace Jones as his sidekick Mayday, Tanya Roberts playing Bonds love interest Stacey Sutton, and the Bond regulars Desmond Llewelyn as Q, and Lois Maxwell as miss moneypenny This was filmed in Pinewood studios in London, and had settings in Paris and San Francisco. When filming in Paris it took a very long time to get ... Read review

A View To A Kill
Review of A View To A Kill (Ultimate Edition) by Alan-RMFB

Advantages: Plenty of action scenes
Disadvantages: Roger Moore being too old

This is a good James Bond film and unlike Roger Moore's previous outings as James Bond this is more serous and has less sillyness to it thankfully. It starts off with a great ski hase as Bond tries to retrieve a micro chip from another OO. The next big sequence has the villian parachuting from the Eiffel Tower and Bond giving chase through the streets, where Bond "breaks every traffic law". Later in the film we see Bond trapped inside a burning building ...
...villian attempts to destroy Silicon Valley. With plenty of fight scenes thrown in between what I've menitioned. Christopher Walken gives an excellent performance as the vilian. The only problem I have with this film is that Rogers' old and wrinky. But still gives a excellent performance as OO7 ... Read review

"To us, Mr Bond, we are the best."
Review of The Man With The Golden Gun (Ultimate Edition) by arthurpringle

Advantages: A colourful romp
Disadvantages: Lacks a bit of scope

The Man with the Golden Gun was the ninth film in the James Bond franchise and the second outing for actor Roger Moore. It was released in 1974 when the energy crisis was headline news and the United Kingdom still stood a feasible chance of getting a couple of points in the Eurovision Song Contest. The plot of The Man With The Golden Gun involves Francisco Scaramanga, a refined and expensive 'Hitman' with a big reputation. Scaramanga is especially ...
...London a golden bullet with the numbers '007' engraved on it. It's a clear message that he intends to kill James Bond next. Bond had been on the trail of a 'Solex Agitator', a gadget that can harness the power of the sun, but is now ordered to take some leave lest he should be killed by Scaramanga. Bond being Bond though, he decides that he will go and find this Scaramanga character first. Soon, 007 is playing a game of wits with the 'Solex' and ... Read review
