The lord of the rings: the two towers
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers DVD by
nicmrkhm
Advantages: acting, story, action packed
Disadvantages: duration of three hours
...of visual effects and acting, the fact that there are some fairly unknown actors playing some major roles helps with the fantasy feeling like a reality. if you've read the books then yyou maybe disappointed by the film as obviously there are bits that had to be missed out in order to cut the running time, if this is a major problem then i'd recommend you look into purchasing the extended edition. however if you havent read the books then this film ... ...film because of the action packed nature of it but girls there are plenty of advantages to the mainly male cast. this is not a film for you if you prefer short and snappy films as the running time is nearing 3 hours i believe. If you like the first film (the fellowship of the ring) then you'll love this one all the more if not for the story but for the battle at helms deep. it is worth seeing just for that!
the story itself continues on from the ...

The Fellowship of the Ring: Extended Edition
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring (Extended Version) by
danfellowes
Advantages: Great cinematics, special effects, acting, location, extras
Disadvantages: none
■The Book■
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the first in the trilogy of films by director Peter Jackson taken from the 1930-40s novels by J.R.R.Tolkien. The books were published between 1937 and 1949. The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 1937. The story loosely follows on from an earlier work by Tolkien, 'The Hobbit'. This is a tale of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, going on an adventure across Middle Earth and finding ... ...just the Shire. Well now Bilbo has grown old, gracefully it may be said, and due to his adventure is outcasted a little by his fellow Shire-folk. Well 'The Fellowship of the Ring' is the turn of Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew who lives with him in Bag End.
The story of the books is that Bilbo while on his travels around Middle Earth with the wise wizard Gandalf the Grey, he picked up a strange artifact: A ring. A ring he managed to win in a game ...

A real treasure.
Review of The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy (Box Set) by
gbabygirl88
Advantages: Graphics and story line
Disadvantages: wasn't long enough
...enough to keep me on the edge of my seat in theatre and at home. The acters did a fantastic Job portraying the Characters in the books, and the story line followed perfectly. The only downfall is that they are not long enough to follow the story exactly. The music was wonderful and the people who did the movie knew exactly how to pull you in. The graphics were to die for!! it looked so realistic, at times I was wondering if those places really did ...

Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers (Special Extended Edition) by
pmcds
Advantages: Great stuff all round
Disadvantages: Very long. Elijah Wood very slightly over the top

The Plot
The plot of the film follows immediately on from the first film. With the Fellowship split up, the story takes on three parts. Frodo and Sam continue their quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mordor, aided by the untrustworthy ... ...the right path. Merry and Pippin, the other two hobbits from the Fellowship, take a different path by way of capture: as prisoners of the creatures created by the Dark Lord Sauron and his minions.
