Advantages: Easy to watch, acting, FX
Disadvantages: Nothing really, perhaps a little dated

If Speed was to be released now, it would be considered a bit behind the times an the special effects would be considered a bit run of the mill. The plot would be average and predictable, and the excitement factor would be softened by the general presentation. ...so, it works perfectly. Speed is available to buy from amazon.co.uk for £4.88. It's well worth giving a go if you catch it on TV or buy the DVD. An easy to watch film that I happily recommend. It's nothing special in many ways, but definitely one I'd be happy to watch whenever it's on. ...

50mph Mayhem!

Advantages: Excellent first film
Disadvantages: Speed 2 is included. lack of special features

Speed 1 in my opinion is one of the greatest action movies of all time. speed 2 however tried to cash in on the first films sucess and failed horribly. The first speed movie follows the adventure of a cop who gets caught up with a mad mans atempt to become rich by using certain devalish plots. The main one of which being putting a bomb on a bus so that if it goes under 50mph thenit will expolode. if this sounds like a good plot in your eyes then ...
...worth your time at all. The god awfull film follows a ship as it is plotted a course to crash into an oil tanker by you typical evil genius. Its ones of the worst movies ever made. If i were you i would buy speed 1 on its own as its cheaper and if your like me you would preffer to have just the 1 DVD in the box. ...

READ AT 50WPM, NO LESS

Advantages: Exciting situation all in one location, so if you liked 'Phone Booth'
Disadvantages: Bit of a joke really

...is all about keeping the speed of a bus above 50mph or facing an untimely death. There is plenty to keep you entertained whilst they negotiate with the terrorist, whether or not some of it defies reality is up for debate - if you've seen the movie you will know at least one of these scenes I am referring to. Jack is hellbent on getting on that bus and taking down Payne, that is why he puts himself in the thick of the action with leading lady Annie ...
...the role as a bus driver, ironically after only using public transport due to her license being revoked for speeding, whilst the rest of the characters on the bus question their choice of why they had to take the bus today. THE OPINION Oscar wins for both effects and sound shows you just how dated this movie actually is, and I am sure a young Keanu Reeves would not have expected this movie to lead him on to a starring role in a movie as 'pretty' ...
