Modern classic.
Advantages: Rousing action sequences, excellent acting, beautiful score, fast paced, gorgeous cineamtography.
Disadvantages: Graphic violence may put some off.

Advantages: Total feel good action frenzy
Disadvantages: With the beautiful cars, women and locations you will want to join MI5
Sleak, stylish and breathtaking is what you come to expect from a John Woo movie, Mission Impossible 2 does not disappoint. Along with the acting talents of Tom Cruise (Ethan Hunt) and the beauty of which is Tandy Newton (Nyah Nordoff-Hall) the movie delivers a fast paced action adventure not to be missed that rivals any James Bond movie to date.
Spectacular panoramic scenes of Cruise negotiating the cliffs of Nevada are only to be compared to the ...

I feel the need, the need....to get everyone off the bus!
Advantages: Easy to watch, acting, FX
Disadvantages: Nothing really, perhaps a little dated
If Speed was to be released now, it would be considered a bit behind the times an the special effects would be considered a bit run of the mill. The plot would be average and predictable, and the excitement factor would be softened by the general presentation. However, when it came out in 1994, it was hailed as a huge blockbuster, with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock heading the billing in the middle of a good run on both their careers. And with ...

Speed is available to buy from amazon.co.uk for £4.88. It's well worth giving a go if you catch it on TV or buy the DVD. An easy to watch film that I happily recommend. It's nothing special in many ways, but definitely one I'd be happy to watch whenever it's on. ...

You'll believe they'll remake it in 20 years
Advantages: Gene Hackman, brilliant
Disadvantages: Really shows its age
The start of this and Superman 2 don't tally, Jor-el has nothing to do with Zod's sentence. He is obviously their advocate in court, the Elders pass judgment. Jor-el says nothing, neither condemning Zod or supporting him. There are at least 6 Elders who all say guilty. Even if Jor-el voted, Zod, Ursa & Non would be guilty by majority. Anyway the 3 criminals should be grateful to Kal-el, he saved them from the destruction of Krypton. Launching Kal-el ...

a duma classic remade for hollywood
Advantages: good cast and sets retains core ideas of the book
Disadvantages: cant think of any
...thankfully this film does do the book justice and this too is one of my favourite films. it captures the main themes of betrayal and revenge well from the dumas classic but is not completely faithful to the book. this is excusable as anyone who has read the book will know that it is very long far to drawn out for a movie. the added scenes do keep with the story and it is very clever the way they have invented these scenes whilst remaining true to ...
