Ronin DVD Review

Advantages: Robert De Niro, Paris!
Disadvantages: It's not exactly 'deep' in terms of plot.

Ronin possesses four things that I truly love in life: Robert De Niro's acting ability, beautiful French scenery, spectacular action, and my Yorkshire heritage (represented by the consistently-good Sean Bean). So, naturally I'm going to love it, right? Right. Frankenheimer, a former amateur racing driver, is responsible for directing this action-thriller that boasts all of the above, and some of the greatest car chases to ever grace a cinema audience. ...

Ronin is neither over-the-top or completely dumb. The BEST racing movie EVER!

Advantages: Includes breathtaking real racing footage, and cameos by real drivers of the 1960s!
Disadvantages: None!

...F1, I wasn't sure about Grand Prix until I saw it. This has to be the BEST racing movie EVER! This film is packed with racing from start to finish - Monte Carlo (looked a bit different then!), Spa, Brands Hatch, Monza (including racing on the old banked circuit!) - it was made in conjunction with the 1966 F1 season, and includes genuine racing footage from races that year, as well as appearances by drivers such as Graham Hill & Jochen Rindt. ...the more astounding how fantastic Grand Prix the movie is - at several points where there is in-car footage you find yourself leaning with the car in to corners - something that I can't say I've done before watching a DVD on the small screen. The Bigger the hit, the faster the rush, the Sweeter the revenge!

Review of Crank (DVD)

The fast was fast and the furious were furious

Overall the movie turned out not to be as boring as I thought it would be. When I heard about it I thought "great another movie about fast racing cars". After wathching it, my opinion changed. The actors/actresses performances were very well done. The effects made you hold your breath untill the sence was over and want to know what happens next. Being that I watched it after the fourth one was already out It was perfect Knowing ther was more to come. ...
