Spider, The Trilogy... Light-hearted fun
Advantages: Kid friendly, easy top watch, likable hero
Disadvantages: 20 minutes of the third film are BAD. Not very scary.
This series is less dark than many of the other comic book movies. The sort of thing you don't even hesitate to let your kids watch. My 8 year old sister loves these movies. The first film shows the making of spiderman, with the Green Goblin as his main enemy. It follows the comic books pretty closely and Kirsten Dunst is a lovely MJ. Maguire is good as spiderman because he's not got the cool factor, which suits the character. The biggest difference ...
...second film has Dr Octopus as the villain, leading to a lot of nice stunts using those mechanical arms to climb buildings and so forth. The third film has a 20 minute period in the middle with 'evil spider man' that is just wrong, appalling and should be deleted. Spiderman 2
Advantages: Spiderman himself
Disadvantages: None
This film is absolutely brilliant, its better than the first spiderman movie and i simply cant wait until i can see the third spiderman movie. Its a great family film and you have to watch the first spiderman movie to make the expierience of this movie even better. Great Adaption to the Comic
Advantages: Great Performances, Good Story Overall, Great CGI and Action

The Perfect Sequel
Advantages: Great Performances, A Wonderfully Loyal Story, and CGI and Action is Great
Disadvantages: Love Story Gets a Little Annoying

My Spidey sense is tingling
Advantages: gripping and enjoyable plot from start to finish
Disadvantages: not much at all, SFX could of been better.
In one word, Sublime.
Sam Raimi has done an excellent job on transferring the comic Peter Parker/Spider-man onto the silver screen. He has manged to capture the clumsy personality of Peter and the style of Spidey. This is due, in part to Tobey Maguire's performance, you could be fooled to believe Stan Lee based Peter on Tobey. Willem Dafoe plays an excellent part as the Green goblin, Kirsten Dunst doesn't quite get the edginess of Mary Jane, but ...
