A visually stunning adventure through sabre tooth infested lands.
The movie centres around D'Leh who makes friends with a young stranger brought to his village. Her name is Evolet and their destinies are now entwined.
One day, many years later, Evolet is abducted by roaming Warlords and taken across the continent, across jungles, waste lands and frozen tundra’s.
D'Leh sets out to find her, rescue her and hopefully marry ...
...to the plot of the film. It is about love, (of course), Adventure, war, treasures, friends and revenge. The thinness of the plot is more than made up for the stunning graphics which are truly superb.
The scenes involving the Sabre tooth tiger, the war scenes and the epic ending are visually awesome.
But then when you realise the film is directed by the same director who gave us 'Independence Day' and 'The Day After Tomorrow' then it is understandable.

Makes me feel Patriotic
Advantages: Good historical links and great acting
Disadvantages: Not for younger viewers.
The film tells the story of Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson), a war veteran who has settled down for a life with his family of 5 children, unfortunately his wife passed away and now he devotes his life to protecting those who he loves.
The British are invading under General Cornwallis and threaten to destroy all that is dear to Benjamin, not just his country, more importantly, his family.
