Advantages: cheap and powerfull movies
Disadvantages: gives you false sense of super human strenghth
this is a great boxed set with three powerful movies which will have you on the edge of your seat well if im telling the truth i have only just bought this and havnt yet seen elektra.but the other two are awesome and i have heard elektra is good.ive seen daredevil about 10 times and lxg about 8.lxg is full of super heroes and is full of action from the start where as daredevil is about a blind kid who adapts himself to the city using his hidden strenghths ...

Charlie's Angels With P.M.S!
Advantages: Light, fluffy entertainment
Disadvantages: Very contrived

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen/Daredaveil
Advantages: Intriguing characters and wonderful spcial effects.
Disadvantages: You are left wanting to see more.
I have watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen many times and have never tired of the intriguing characters and each of their 'special' traights. Or indeed the special effects; especially those of ' The Nautilus', makes me wish I could see it first hand for myself. If, like me, you grew up reading Marvel comics then watching Daredevil will be like re-newing an old friendship. It reminds me of the stories I once read and is also an enjoyable film. ...

Daredevil, Sexy Superhero Lacks Comic Effect
Advantages: Impressive Cast, Good Outfits and Action Scenes
Disadvantages: Lacklustre Lovestory, Too Few Gadgets

The Daredevil story line however isnt great, as it focuses on a kid who is bullied alot (I cant imagine Affleck being bullied) who is blinded when struck by a vat of chemicals on a construction site where his father formerly worked. He naturally develops super powers to go with his blindness and so decides to use this to avenge his fathers death ( a champion boxer who refused to throw a fight). He is met by some powerful figures ...
...both with their own unexplained superpowers. The settings are suitably bold and gloomy such as the evening cityscapes and gothic cathedrals which are also well used for the excellent action sequences. Farrell in particular steals the film as a particularly vicious skinhead hitman with a bad temper and a deadly throwing arm. The island
Advantages: Intriguing ideas
Disadvantages: Blatany commercial intrests
...with an intriguing idea but the novelty of the setting seems to rub off quickly, it does slowly lose its intelectual quality and descends into an action chase thriller.
The ideas presented by the film are an intresting view of the future of humanity, but the blantant advertisments for various companies do somewhat ruin the futuristic effect of the film.
I would recommend this to people who enjoy fast paced films, with action. It may seem slow to ...
