Although being released way back in 1993 I have only watched The Fugitive recently for the very first time and after it was shown on TV again a couple of days ago I jumped at the chance to relive the ...

Arnie - action hero of the noughties?
Advantages: It gallops along, some good action scenes Disadvantages: A flawed plot, not that gripping
...he stood (they are the collateral damage of the title). The bombing is credited to Claudio Perrini, a Colombian terrorist, known as 'The Wolf'. Unfortunately, the US government don't seem inclined to do anything to hunt The Wolf down and so Brewer decides to seek his own revenge for the death of his family. This leads him to Colombia, where he inadvertently saves the life of a young woman and her son and becomes attached to them. But then he discovers ... ...of plot or characterisation. Slipping Collateral Damage into the DVD player, I therefore had a very good idea of what to expect from this film. And to a certain extent, it doesn't disappoint. If you want action, that's exactly what you'll get. It's just a shame that someone hadn't gone to a little more trouble over the plot...
I've read a number of reviews that point out that Arnie's age is not on his side here. It is certainly true that he is not ...

Explosions, Explosions and more Explosions!!!
Advantages: 3 films for the price of 1 Disadvantages: No extras
...seperately, so here goes:
Broken Arrow
The Story is so simple and typical of an american writer, 2 Air Force pilots are pitted against each other in a race to recover two stolen nuclear warheads. It makes you wonder what realy happens over in america, they seem to lose more nuclear weapons than i care to imagine!!! What transpires is a Fast Paced action adventure that makes you wonder what incredibel feat will the main stars (Travolta, Slater) do ... ...myself during watching!(Namely after the scene on top of the train, i added "It's been a while since anyone has shot between her legs")
Worth watching as it has good entertainment value.
I still thoroughly enjoyed this film, yet it was not a remarkable performance by any of the cast nor director!
Director:- John Woo
Cast include's:- John Travolta, Christian Slater, Delroy Lindo
Run Time:- 104mins approx
The Siege
This was the main film that ...

Great Idea, Mediocre Movie...
Advantages: It tries really hard to be a tense techno-thriller... Disadvantages: ... but fails, mainly through poor editing and production style.
...I'm Chain Reaction starts off with an intriguing premise and goes downhill from there, despite trying really hard to be a tense techno-thriller. In The initial idea, of a new power-source being developed from water (we're not talking traditional hydro-power here though) - which supposedly has the capacity to use the hydrogen in small glass of water to power the whole city of Chicago for weeks -is brilliant. The idea of the rich and powerful oil companies ... ...it's not bad. Chain There's a brain behind this film (somewhat a rarity for this genre), but unfortunately it's been rather lost in the translation. It's almost as though someone said, "Hey, here's a brilliant idea for a film, let's turn it into a mediocre movie" - and lo! - it became so. It's certainly not a terrible film - watching it didn't leave me feeling that part of my life had been stolen - just that I hadn't made a profit on what time I'd ...

Segal at his best
Advantages: Action and excitement Disadvantages: none
...will love his 1992 film, Under Siege, which was directed by Andrew Davis. This is considered one of his best films.
Under Siege is about Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal) is a former Navy SEAL, who is now working as a cook on the US Navy battleship, Missouri. However during birthday celebrations for Captain Adams (Patrick O'Neal), a team of mercenaries take control of the ship with the intention of stealing the nuclear Tomahawk Cruise Missiles on board. ... ...Jones), receive assistance from the crooked Commander Krill (Gary Busey). Strannix misjudges the capabilities of Ryback, as the former Navy Seal plans to stop Strannix and his team. Ryback receives help from a former playmate, Jordan Tate (Erika Eleniak), who was hired for the Captain’s party.
This is one of the few Steven Segal films which I like, which is probably due to the great script and good supporting cast. Tommy Lee Jones is great as the ...
