A rip-roaring action thriller
Review of The Fugitive (Special Edition) (Wide Screen) by
bigmike33
Advantages: The action never lets up
Disadvantages: None
The Fugitive is probably one of the finest action thrillers ever made, and definately Harrison Ford's best movie. Based on the television series of the same name, the best thing about The Fugitive is that it never lets up the pace, moving along at a thunderous and often breathtaking level. With its quick pacing, rock solid storyline and superb acting this is a great cat and mouse film, with Harrison Ford playing the slipperly fugitive and Tommy Lee ... ...a particularly enjoyable performance as the annoyed and stressed out police officer.
Harrison Ford plays world renowned vascular surgeon Richard Kimble, who is charged with murder after his wife is found dead at home, despite his pleas that a one-armed burglar had in fact committed the crime. While he is being transported on a prison bus an accident occurs, leading to the bus overturning and Kimble escaping into the nearby woods. It is up to US ...

Fugitive
Review of The Fugitive DVD by
shanediablo
Advantages: Harrison Ford at his best.
Disadvantages: Not original.
...from a television series from the 1960\'s which instantly makes it more difficult to stand out because you are well aware that it lacks originality of its own.
Problems aside.. Harrison Ford comes up with a near perfect performance as Dr Kimble, a surgeon wrongly accused of his wifes murder and becoming a rather unlikely fugitive of the law, hotly chased by US Marshal, Samuel Gerard played by Tommy Lee Jones.
This thriller is played out at an exhilirating ...

Review of Johnny Mnemonic / Chain / Point Break DVD by
csbriggs3010
Advantages: Good selection of films
Disadvantages: if you dont like one of the films, you wont want this
...in it! chain reaction and johnny mnemonic are also good in her eyes and exellent in mine. just sit back and enjoy the cinematic greatness. not many extras on the disks tho, but you want films, not documentries about them!
A must for Keanu Reeves fans, three exellent films. gf loved point break as has 2 of her fave actors in it! chain reaction and johnny mnemonic are also good in her eyes and exellent in mine. just sit back and enjoy the cinematic ...

Cooking up a Storm with Casey on the Case
Review of Under Siege DVD by
welshwickedone
Advantages: Good Storyline, Steven Seagal, Tommy Lee Jones
Disadvantages: Far fetched with flaws
Under Siege. (Film Review Only.)
=
Plot.
------------
As the time comes for the battleship The USS Missouri to be decommissioned a group of mercenaries hijack the ship and plan to sell on the Tomahawk Missiles still onboard. Not all goes according to plan as they discover that the lowly cook is in fact a former Navy Seal serving out his service onboard the Missouri
The Storyline.
-----------------------
After ... ...was not the director on Under Siege 2
The film itself does have a very interesting storyline although totally unbelievable as we yet again get to see the usual one man arm out to save the day and be the hero type film thrown at us. There are some great action scenes for us to enjoy from Steven Seagal and Tommy Lee Jones does play a good part in the film but I have to say I found Gary Busey to grab hold of his scenes and totally ruin them instantly. ...

Great Idea, Mediocre Movie...
Review of Chain Reaction DVD by
CaptainDisaster
Advantages: It tries really hard to be a tense techno-thriller...
Disadvantages: ... but fails, mainly through poor editing and production style.
...I'm Chain Reaction starts off with an intriguing premise and goes downhill from there, despite trying really hard to be a tense techno-thriller. In The initial idea, of a new power-source being developed from water (we're not talking traditional hydro-power here though) - which supposedly has the capacity to use the hydrogen in small glass of water to power the whole city of Chicago for weeks -is brilliant. The idea of the rich and powerful oil companies ... ...it's not bad. Chain There's a brain behind this film (somewhat a rarity for this genre), but unfortunately it's been rather lost in the translation. It's almost as though someone said, "Hey, here's a brilliant idea for a film, let's turn it into a mediocre movie" - and lo! - it became so. It's certainly not a terrible film - watching it didn't leave me feeling that part of my life had been stolen - just that I hadn't made a profit on what time I'd ...
