Doo You See A Zulu?

Advantages: Captivating, one of the best films ever made.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.

Zulu has to be one of my favourite films of all time. It was released in 1964 through Paramount Pictures by Diamond Films - a company set up by the well established actor Stanley Baker, who was looking to move more into the directing field. Review of Zulu (DVD)

Modern classic.

Advantages: Rousing action sequences, excellent acting, beautiful score, fast paced, gorgeous cineamtography.
Disadvantages: Graphic violence may put some off.

Review of Gladiator (DVD)

Spider, The Trilogy... Light-hearted fun

Advantages: Kid friendly, easy top watch, likable hero
Disadvantages: 20 minutes of the third film are BAD. Not very scary.

This series is less dark than many of the other comic book movies. The sort of thing you don't even hesitate to let your kids watch. My 8 year old sister loves these movies. The first film shows the making of spiderman, with the Green Goblin as his main enemy. It follows the comic books pretty closely and Kirsten Dunst is a lovely MJ. Maguire is good as spiderman because he's not got the cool factor, which suits the character. The biggest difference ...
...second film has Dr Octopus as the villain, leading to a lot of nice stunts using those mechanical arms to climb buildings and so forth. The third film has a 20 minute period in the middle with 'evil spider man' that is just wrong, appalling and should be deleted. The Bourne Begins

Advantages: Good action sequences
Disadvantages: Can get dull in parts

Review of The Bourne Identity (DVD)

00Heaven?

Advantages: fresh approach to bond
Disadvantages: not the classic bond attitude

As I was lucky enough to get this movie on blu-ray for free from Sony, I had to watch it in high definition. Truly stunning, awesome quality on a pretty good bond movie. It has enough action in, and is generally a good movie, however I feel that Sony have placed too much in-movie advertising.. the sony viao laptops, the sony ericsson phones, and the sony blu-ray player and discs. But if you're into the movie you wont notice that, it doesnt exactly ...
...Daniel Craig plays in beautifully, although he's not quite the same 007 as what I am used to.It's the littel things really, for example when he is asked shaken or stirred... shaken right?... no apparently he doesnt give a damn.
