The Classic Western Gets A Kick In The Pants
Review of Shanghai Noon (Wide Screen) by MotherMacLean

Advantages: Jackie Chan/Owen Wilson
Disadvantages: No graphics other then good acting

...another film together other then Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights, well done I would give this film a 9 out of 10 for everything. There really wasn't much graphics, but that's the way Jackie Chan likes it not many stunts he wouldn't do himself. There is some mild bad language in this film and also some mild sex and nudity and of course there is frequent to moderate valance in it but like I said of course its a Jackie Chan film doesn't that say ...
...out giving too much of the film away was the drinking games that was funny were they really drunk, and if they were not they acted very well on them sconces. Type of film Adventure/Action/Martial Arts Rated 12 totally the right rating for this film Running Time 106 min's (1 hr 46 min's) Directed by - Tom Dey Also he directed Show Time/ The Hunger the TV series/Failure To Lunch/The Big House Writers ... Yellow Rain
Review of The Forbidden Kingdom DVD by Phelthew

Advantages: Funny, great fight scenes
Disadvantages: Childish. Not a kung fu fan

Forbidden Kingdom is the first film to unite martial arts superstars Jackie Chan and Jet Li. I'm not a big fan of martial arts films myself but I'd seen almost everything else in the cinema and Jackie Chan films can be quite funny. The story unexpectingly starts off in Boston with a teenager named Jason who loves martial arts movies so much that he dreams about them. He is friends with an old Chinese pawn shop owner and he goes there often to buy ...
...him to help them rob the old chinese guy. This leads to the leader of the gang accidently killing the old guy. Jason is given the old guy's staff and told to return it to its rightful owner. He is then chased by the gang and falls off a building only to wake up in ancient China. Here he is hunted by the Jade Army. He meets a drunken travelling scholar called Lu Yan(Jackie Chan) along the road who saves his life via alot of very impressive Kung Fu. ... Read review

What a film!!!!!!!!
Review of Sin City DVD by nathan_jones69247

Advantages: great watch
Disadvantages: very dark

An absolutely great movie. This movie was awesome from the word go. It's got a very atmospheric feel and all the characters in the film are great. The film is made up of a few short stories kinda like pulp fiction. It's a very graphic and violent movie based on the underworld and its comic book picturisation creates a great atmosphere. Micky Rourke in my opinion give the best performance of his career, even though he was only in it for around 30 ... Read review

Advantages: All
Disadvantages: None

This is an excellent must have Boxset!!!! It is one of the most highly rated, highly popular and very famous comic superhero of many decades and of our time!!!! Now it is on DVD and as a trilogy!!! Spiderman, Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3. The ultimate collection!!! The Boxset contains the following films: *Spiderman (2002) Duration Time: 121 mins Certificate: 12 (in the UK) *Spiderman 2 (2004) Duration Time: 127 mins Certificate: PG (in the ...
...Certificate: 12A (in the UK) The first film release is the most sensational out of the 3. This is because it is where Peter Parker (played by Tobey Maguire) is transformed by a red-blue coloured spider into a superhero. We also see the departure of his uncle, Ben (played by Cliff Robertson) which leads to the hero becoming more responsible. We are also introduced to Aunt May (played by Rosemary Harris), who goes through so much as an Aunt and as ... Read review

Bloody Amateurs!
Review of Sudden Fury DVD by Yobbey

Advantages: Old school Gore aplenty, decent make-up effects, DVD extras
Disadvantages: Poor acting, picture quality, story, script, dialogue...

Lots of bloodiness ensues in this no-budget, independent London gangster flick. But don't go thinking this is a Guy Ritchie or Martin Scorsese type gangster movie - it's far from it! The story is fairly straightforward: Crime boss Randall (David Warbeck!), looks to increase his growing empire by hiring 'legendary' hitman, Walker, to take out his arch enemy, Harris and his crew. But what Randall didn't mention to hitman Walker was that he has no intention ...
...betrayal orders his death once his mission is accomplished... big mistake! It's all an amateur effort from a group people having a bit of fun it seems. You'll see better acting in primary School plays, seriously! But like I mentioned before, this is all over-the-top fun, with David Warbeck amusing in his brief campy performance (one of his last too). Surprisingly though, the movie does feature quite an impressive arsenal of weapons that would give ... Read review
