Jet Li...A true martial artist at his best!

Advantages: A staggering performance and innate story!
Disadvantages: fight scenes slightly unrealistic but not over the top

Fist of legend is a remake of Bruce Lee's 'Fist of fury'. However this movie not only changes my perception on remakes it makes me want to watch remakes as opposed to originals. Another decent Chan flick

Advantages: Good action, good CGI/special effects, entertaining, suitable for most of the family
Disadvantages: Story is very unoriginal (especially when compared to other Jackie Chan movies)

Review of The Medallion (DVD)

Doomsday? Only for the audience!

Advantages: Dazzling special effects, quirky characters,
Disadvantages: story lacks depth, focus too much on the effects

2012 is not a bad movie; indeed it tries hard to be a good movie but unfortunately fails. In my opinion, 2012 had the potential to be the next Day after Tomorrow or Armageddon but unfortunately is lacking. The effects whilst impressive are 'unbelievable' and seem to focus more on the action than the believability of the situation. The story itself delivers pretty much what it promised with a doomsday scenario that isn't entirely out of the realm ...
...this movie bearable- sure the 'broken home' idea is a bit cliche but it seems to work with a few memorable charcters to boot. Truth often hurts, but its the lie that leaves the scar

Advantages: Solid IRA flick
