She's Gonna Blow
Advantages: Good Effects, Plenty of Action
Disadvantages: A little predictable

What fallows is a quite entertaining, although quite predicatable and cliched, where Walton firstly battles to save those closest to him whilst also looking out for the needs of the town as a whole. The latter means that they are almost the last to leave the towna and as a result then have to try to flee the rapid flowing and ever growing lava trail which provides ...
...about them.
The special effects are good especially considering the film is almost ten years old and despite the lack of twist and very little in the way of soundtrack in the plot the
film is a good watch none the less a. There is very little gore or death just old fashioned action (hence the '12' rating', imagine a modern and reworked film based on 'Towering Inferno').
As mentioned the film is now almost ten years old

Tomorrow is just another day for Bond
Advantages: Great modern work all round
Disadvantages: Ever so slightly lacks Cubby Broccoli's magic
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) is the 18th Bond film, and the second starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Brosnan's first outing as Bond in Goldeneye in 1995 was a great success following a 6 year gap since Timothy Dalton's Bond in Licence to Kill in1989. Goldeneye bridged the gap following the end of the Cold War and the reduction of Soviet villains for Bond, and paved the way for a more modern Bond dealing with more topical issues, as we see here ...

While there was success, Tomorrow Never Dies did not rise straight to the top of the box office chart as it was released on the same day as Titanic - not necessarily an error on anyone's part, for who would have thought anything else could have outsold a Bond film? But it did, even though the total amount taken at the box office was more than Goldeneye.
Bond musical legend John Barry again opted out of adapting music for the film, but ...

Bond 20 is a pillar for the franchise
Advantages: Excellent villain, strong plot
Disadvantages: Slightly over the top with the special effects
Die Another Day is the 20th Bond film, and was released in 2002, the year of the 40th anniversary of the Bond film franchise. It was Pierce Brosnan's last outing as the MI6 agent, and was met with acclaim as well as criticism. The special effects take another step up and the action sequences are breathtaking.
The Plot
Bond liases with South Korean agents to prevent rogue North Korean officer and arms dealer Colonel Moon from starting an all out ...

My Opinion
Die Another Day is a very good film for many different reasons. Toby Stephens is one of them, but the other performances must not be overlooked. As the 20th film on the 40th anniversary, there were references to every single previous Bond film, which are too many to quote here, but can all be found by doing a single google search. Oh, James, you do pick them!!
Advantages: Robert Carlyle is an amazing villain
Disadvantages: Slightly over the top

The Complete James Bond, 'No Mr. Bond, I expect you to buy...'
Advantages: Good collection of films, iconic characters, stylish presentation
Disadvantages: Out-dated in its collection
THE JAMES BOND COMPLETE COLLECTION
I brought this a while back and I must say it is excellent. The presentation is top-notch, the silver briefcase just about the coolest DVD container in the world. It chronicles every film from Sean Connery's 'Dr. No' to the more recent Pierce Brosnan outing 'Die Another Day'. Of course it does not hold the newest additions, Daniel Craig's 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace' but as these are generally new in ...
...watch, if not always for the story then definitely for the generational features. Think Roger more in his 70s safari suit, Sean Connery in his trilby. And then of course you have the women.
The big downside to this box set, of course, is that there's always going to be more James Bond films. It may not be in date for very long. Also the price is fairly steep, yet is falling due to the release of newer additions.
