The lord of the rings: the two towers
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers DVD by nicmrkhm

Advantages: acting, story, action packed
Disadvantages: duration of three hours

...of visual effects and acting, the fact that there are some fairly unknown actors playing some major roles helps with the fantasy feeling like a reality. if you've read the books then yyou maybe disappointed by the film as obviously there are bits that had to be missed out in order to cut the running time, if this is a major problem then i'd recommend you look into purchasing the extended edition. however if you havent read the books then this film ...
...film because of the action packed nature of it but girls there are plenty of advantages to the mainly male cast. this is not a film for you if you prefer short and snappy films as the running time is nearing 3 hours i believe. If you like the first film (the fellowship of the ring) then you'll love this one all the more if not for the story but for the battle at helms deep. it is worth seeing just for that! the story itself continues on from the ... #1 in best movies I have ever seen
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring (Extended Version) by RedTape

Advantages: More scenes with Legolas!!!! :D etc...
Disadvantages: Nothing

I've watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy so many times I know some of the lines by heart. It is officially one of the best movies I have seen made so far for this part of the 21st century. How could I not have this DVD?! ;) People keep complaining about how long the extended version is, but I assure you its excellence completely makes up for the time. The effects are great, the acting is great, the script is great, the storyline is great, the ...
...I hear of Lord of the Rings; but I was so awed by this wonderful movie(not just Legolas ;) ) and I decided to do my research and watch it again and again. Each time I watch it, there's something there that I haven't noticed before, and it never ever gets boring. The movie is basically on the story of Bilbo handing down the ring to Frodo his nephew who realises he must destroy the ring in the fiery pit of mordor at the council of Elrond Half Elf ... J R R Tolkien's epic The Lord of the Rings is one of the most famous series of books ever written. In 2001, New Zealand Director Peter Jackson took the helm to direct the film of the first of the triolgy: The Fellowship of the Ring. It was a monumental project, with fantastic results. The Plot There is the One Ring, and the possessor of the Ring has the power to rule everything, destroy everything, and corrupt everything. While it is in existence, ...

Advantages: Great stuff all round
Disadvantages: Very long. Elijah Wood very slightly over the top

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the second in the Middle-Earth trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. There will be a spoiler in this review for any who have not already seen the film or read the book. The Plot The plot of the film follows immediately on from the first film. With the Fellowship split up, the story takes on three parts. Frodo and Sam continue their quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mordor, aided by the untrustworthy ...

Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers (Special Extended Edition)(Collector's Gift Set) by CaptainDisaster

Advantages: Excellent film, worthwhile extras
Disadvantages: A bit gruesome in places

The Two Towers follows the story started in Fellowship of the Ring, where a party of nine set out from Rivendell to take a ring of power back to the fires where it was forged to destroy it. Its owner is now seeking that ring, and if it gets it, the whole of Middle Earth is doomed. So that party set out, made up of representatives of all the free races of Middle Earth - Hobbits, Men, Elves, and Dwarves, guided by a Wizard. Without going into too much ...
...lost and two captured. The Two Towers then is initially split into three narratives - the captured Hobbits, the three pursuing their captors, and the two Hobbits still trying to get the ring to Mount Doom. They get the feeling that they are being watched, however - soon they will meet one of the strangest creatures alive on Middle Earth. (Incidentally, if you haven't seen the films or read the books and are wondering what a Hobbit actually is, ... Read review
