Matric dvd box set review Advantages: loads of bonus features Disadvantages: none This is the king of all box sets, its amazing. It has all of the matrix films plus loads of special features. Its not really for anyone who hasnt seen any matrix films yet but if your a fan its totally worth buying. Its great value for money as aswell as getting all the films you get 35 hours of special features. Overall its one of the best box sets I have ever come across and would recomend it to anyone. The Matrix Reloaded: Dissapointing Advantages: Good music, Some interesting new characters Disadvantages: Plot too complex, Emotional detachment from characters, Too much vague philosophy As a big fan of the original I was greatly looking forward to this, however it didn't live up to the hype. My main issue was the story, I could practically hear the plot straining to be deep and profound but this falls flat on its face. The plot, which is entangled in vague philosophy ("Not how, but why"), is unnecessarily confusing and I eventually found myself wondering, does this plot make sense or is it simply that I just don't care? I actually ... ...add some new interesting characters, the twins spring to mind - however there is very little focus on them in anything other than action sequences. The enigmatic Merovingian I also found very intriguing and they did rightfully focus on him. As a quick sidenote, I didn't give a flying fig about the relationship between Trinity and Neo. VERY GOOD! Advantages: Definatly worth watching, potentil of being a great. Disadvantages: A little rushed, lacks final battle scene the film has built up to I believe this has to be one more film that truly deserves Bruce Willis as its lead character. The film is an emotional story instead of the full action you would normally expect from this time of film. However as well as emotive this film is action packed, keeping a good balance of emotional story and action. The Matrix Revolutions review Advantages: Jaw dropping visuals Disadvantages: Can be rather boring The Matrix Revolutions is the final part in The Matrix saga. In it, Zion is preparing for the oncoming onslaught of the machines in which they stand no chance of survival. Meanwhile, Neo is held captive by the Merovingian at a train station so Trinity & Morpheus set out on a journey to rescue him so he can save everyone. This one suffers from the same thing Reloaded did. It's too pretentious and some of the philosophical aspects feel forced. The ... ...realism. The acting is good again, albeit not as good as the first one as the script can be rather clunky at times. Tears Of the Sun Advantages: Sucks you deeper as film progresses, action gradually increases. Disadvantages: Tails off slightly at the very end. The film starts off with news footage taken from the time of the civil unrest in nigeria which show some quite disturbing images, the film them dips into a typical action film for a while before Bruce Willis and co. start their long hike with the refugees. As the film progesses the scenes get more graphic and the team get more attached to the african people. Fantastic for people who like action with a strong emotional hook in there too, it also raises ... ...over the top and theres lots, i mean lots of action towards the end. The acting is quite good for the most part of the film as each character underplays the role to a good extent until the very end when Bruce Willis needs to have his meaning pause covered in blood as the wounded hero.
