After the fun but cut and paste Tomorrow Never Dies (which ran out of steam about halfway through) a slight change of direction was required for Pierce Brosnan's third adventure. Michael Apted, a director not known for action or adventure films, was chosen to helm the film. The emphasis was clear. Advantages: amazing landscapes in narnia, lovable characters, fun for the family
Disadvantages: The acting is slightly cheesy.

...this film came out at the cinema i jumped at the chance of seeing it and saw it within a few days of it's release. I was in awe, the landscapes pictured were beautiful and everything was played out so well, even though a little cheesy acting at times. ...brilliant, original storyline from the C.S. Lewis classic. The four pevensie siblings: Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are all very well played and you grow to love the characters. I am glad this film has a battle scene for the adults otherwise it would put a lot of people off from watching it.
