The Fellowship of the Ring: Extended Edition
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring (Extended Version) by danfellowes

Advantages: Great cinematics, special effects, acting, location, extras
Disadvantages: none

■The Book■ The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the first in the trilogy of films by director Peter Jackson taken from the 1930-40s novels by J.R.R.Tolkien. The books were published between 1937 and 1949. The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 1937. The story loosely follows on from an earlier work by Tolkien, 'The Hobbit'. This is a tale of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, going on an adventure across Middle Earth and finding ...
...just the Shire. Well now Bilbo has grown old, gracefully it may be said, and due to his adventure is outcasted a little by his fellow Shire-folk. Well 'The Fellowship of the Ring' is the turn of Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew who lives with him in Bag End. The story of the books is that Bilbo while on his travels around Middle Earth with the wise wizard Gandalf the Grey, he picked up a strange artifact: A ring. A ring he managed to win in a game ... Review of XXX DVD by mihir517

Advantages: GREAT ACTION,AMAZING LOCATIONS,GREAT SCREENPLAY
Disadvantages: WEAK STORY PLOT

what can i say!if you are looking for performance in a action movie well then better don't watch it.BUT just the action sequences are awesome.no other word for it.guys who like fast cars, stylish clothes and VIN DIESEL i have only one thing to say .guys this one takes the cake.i loved the female, yelena(ASIA ARGENTO).she's hot. NOW,the details :story sucks, action rules, soundtrack is just fine for this genre and i loved the DVD as for action movies ...
...i can always catch up when i am free. One thing to be kept in mind before selecting any movie is the DIRECTOR.ROB COHEN directed "fast and the furious","daylight"and "dragon:Bruce lee story".all of them were great action movies so i can trust him. so,people just go through some price comparisons and just buy it.this one truly deserves to be in your action series collection. ... Non stop action from Nicholas Cage
Review of Con Air (Wide Screen) by chellbian

Advantages: action packed, good effects, star studded cast
Disadvantages: none

Con Air is one of those timeless action flicks that remains enjoyable no matter how many times you've watched it. Showing on station WGN this evening, I couldn't resist watching it for the seventh or eighth time since its release ten years ago. Starring Nicholas Cage in the lead role as Cameron Poe, Con Air tells the story of an ex-soldier (Cage), released from prison following an eight year sentence for involuntary manslaughter. When he began his ...
...on the Las Vegas Strip, Con Air has the necessary happy ending and tying up of loose ends- the bad guys getting their come-uppance, Larkin and Poe saving the day and Poe successfully returning to his beautiful wife (Monica Potter) and daughter. The film is directed by Simon West, who has, since Con Air's release, gone on to direct and produce films such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Black Hawk Down. The cast is star-studded and even if you don't ... Read review

Hobbitses and preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecious...
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers (Special Extended Edition)(Collector's Gift Set) by CaptainDisaster

Advantages: Excellent film, worthwhile extras
Disadvantages: A bit gruesome in places

The Two Towers follows the story started in Fellowship of the Ring, where a party of nine set out from Rivendell to take a ring of power back to the fires where it was forged to destroy it. Its owner is now seeking that ring, and if it gets it, the whole of Middle Earth is doomed. So that party set out, made up of representatives of all the free races of Middle Earth - Hobbits, Men, Elves, and Dwarves, guided by a Wizard. Without going into too much ...
...lost and two captured. The Two Towers then is initially split into three narratives - the captured Hobbits, the three pursuing their captors, and the two Hobbits still trying to get the ring to Mount Doom. They get the feeling that they are being watched, however - soon they will meet one of the strangest creatures alive on Middle Earth. (Incidentally, if you haven't seen the films or read the books and are wondering what a Hobbit actually is, ... Read review
