The Fellowship of the Ring: Extended Edition
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring (Extended Version) by danfellowes

Advantages: Great cinematics, special effects, acting, location, extras
Disadvantages: none

■The Book■ The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the first in the trilogy of films by director Peter Jackson taken from the 1930-40s novels by J.R.R.Tolkien. The books were published between 1937 and 1949. The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 1937. The story loosely follows on from an earlier work by Tolkien, 'The Hobbit'. This is a tale of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, going on an adventure across Middle Earth and finding ...
...just the Shire. Well now Bilbo has grown old, gracefully it may be said, and due to his adventure is outcasted a little by his fellow Shire-folk. Well 'The Fellowship of the Ring' is the turn of Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew who lives with him in Bag End. The story of the books is that Bilbo while on his travels around Middle Earth with the wise wizard Gandalf the Grey, he picked up a strange artifact: A ring. A ring he managed to win in a game ... The vibrating sound of revenge...
Review of Kill Bill - Vol. 1 / Kill Bill - Vol. 2 DVD by octavio.teixeira

Advantages: Uma Thurman's performance, an epic movie.
Disadvantages: As usual, from Tarantino, none!

Master Quentin couldn’t get out more surprised from that meeting with Miramax’s “Big Boss” Harvey Weinstein, where he found out that after all his new masterpiece will not only be one movie but actually two… Not that the idea had never crossed his mind before and one hour after receiving Weinstein’s suggestion, Tarantino knew exactly were to split the movie. “Kill Bill” is a movie you will want to watch in one go, so just prepare yourself and find ...
...(the movies actually only add up to 4h07m but you may need to stop for natural reasons like cold beer in the fridge…). Why watch it in one go? When I first watched volume one of “Kill Bill” I was simply in a state of elated bliss, (now you only have to multiply that by two…). But all that excitement wasn’t only because of the cinematography, the games with the camera, the fighting scenes, or the delicious references to the pop culture that intersect ... Read review

The Man with the Golden Gun
Review of The Man With The Golden Gun DVD by IanM73

Advantages: Great storyline with one of Rogers best performances
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

Following the success of Roger Moores fisrt james Bond film "Live and let die" he was getting established in the role, not an easy thing after taking over from Sean Connery. The public was quickly warming to Roger as the new Bond. "The man with the golden gun" was rogers second Bond film, made in 1974 at Pinewood studios and filmed in locations of Hong Kong and of course here in Britain. The casting for the roles was done pretty quick as Christopher ...
...his character "Scaramanga" was just the right part for him to play. Also a welcome return was given to Clifton james who plays "JW Pepper" whom the audience loved from his part in "Live and let Die" His character is highly amusing as the Louisiana state policeman. Also amongst the cast was Britt Ekland as "Mary Goodnight" who was another agent helping out Bond. The small henchman "Nick Nack" was played by "Herve Villechaize" and you cannot now ... Read review

Golden, Golden, Golden Bond
Review of James Bond Ultimate Golden Triple Pack - Goldfinger/The Man With The Golden Gun/Goldeneye (Box Set) by dodgeinator

Advantages: 3 Great Films
Disadvantages: Rather expensive RRP on them in comparsion

Golden, Golden, Golden. Undoubtedly 3 of the best Bonds. First of all theres Goldfinger featuring evil arch villain (you guessed it) Goldfinger, has a strange obsession of murdering people by covering them in solid gold paint. Will Goldfinger succeed in his attempt to rob Fort Knox, surely not, but hey, it's Bond... anything can happen. The Second Golden film, this time, is the Man With the Golden Gun. Here new Bond Roger Moore, takes on new villain ...
...uses a Golden Gun. So when Bond receives a bullet with his name on from him, things start to get a bit heated. Will Scaramanga succeed in assassinating Bond, or will he be made to bite the "bullet". The third Golden Bond is Golden Eye, this sees yet another new Bond, Pierce Brosnan, star in his debut film. Things look bad for Bond when his best friend 006 appears to be assassinated. After a massive electromagnetic pulse, is set off, Bind goes in ... Read review

Welcome to the 70's, now prepare to die.
Review of Diamonds Are Forever DVD by Ollydv

Advantages: Well its bond, james bond! a bit of good action
Disadvantages: um... Jill St. John's acting is pretty crap and sometimes seems like a joke

...it. A large amount of diamonds have been stolen from some south African mines and two assasins are killing everyone in the smuggling ring one-by-one. So, you guessed it, Bond goes undercover, as some guy called Peter Franks, a diamond smuggler. But during his time undercover, he discovers that the head of the smugglers is the one and only Ernst Stavros Blofeld (think thats spelled right). So now Bond has to try and take his Blofeld's best assassins ...
...plot and to avenge the death of his wife Tracy. He sets out with a beautiful smuggler Tiffany Case (Jill St. John) to try and stop the madman. The Plot: There is a plot, but they don't really seem in any rush to get there, it just seems to go quite slow. The Music: The theme song is the best music in the film, and any other music that is in the film is quite cheesy, and lame. The Visuals: The visuals were ok i guess, the best scene being where ...
