"I've got a jar of dirt, I've got a jar of dirt!"
Review of Pirates Of The Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest DVD by MI9to5

Advantages: Brilliant script
Disadvantages: None

Pirates of the Caribbean and the Dead Mans Chest is the second film in the pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and is more than a worthy sequel. The film is once again a fast-paced humorous adventure that invites the audience to climb aboard and immerse themselves in the ship-rocking storm of a story. In Port Royal Elizabeth and Will's wedding plans aren't exactly going to plan. On their wedding day the pair find themselves arrested for helping Captain ...
...and the storyline. The now-familiar Pirates of the Caribbean is often heard, signifying that greater action is on its way and is combined with much subtler pieces of music for an overall brilliant effect. The cast once again performs together perfectly. The relationships they have with one another continue to blossom but it is Jack, who once again despite what he does is loved from the start, who steals the show. His dead-pan humour is combined ... Not Exactly Valentine's Day
Review of True Romance (Director's Cut) (Special Edition) by BZ2886

Advantages: A-list ensemble cast, tarantino script, great action scenes
Disadvantages: Occassionally over-graphic

This film from 1993, directed by Tony Scott (previous works such as 'Top Gun' and Crimson Tide') and written by the universally known Quentin Tarantino. It is a tension filled and action packed movie with some really poignant and occasionally chilling sequences. The story centres around Clarence Worley (Christian Slater of 'Murder in the First' and 'Broken Arrow') a comic book store employee with a passion for Sonny Cheeba kung-fu movies and Elvis ...
...marathon in a cinema. Here he meets Alabama (Patricia Arquette of Stigmata.) She is a happy, young southern girl and they immediately hit it off. After the inevitable night-time events, Clarence awakes to find Alabama crying and she confesses she is a call girl hired by Clarence's boss as a birthday present. As she's crying obviously, the two already mean more than that to each other and are married the next morning. This is only the first five minutes ... Read review

aaaarg me hearties & aarhhhh heartless
Review of National Treasure / Pirates Of The Caribbean - The Curse Of The Black Pearl DVD by earlofaldgate

Advantages: awash with bucklers being swashed
Disadvantages: treasure that should remain buried

what a combination, National treasure is so dire I find it difficult to imagine how these 2 could be paired up together other than a Disney smash cash tie in. take my advice, buy POTC on its own! National treasure - Nicolas 'Francis ford coppola got me the job' cage stars in this duck as a treasure hunter following in his father/grandfathers/great-grandfathers footsteps. Tales of Masonic/knights templar treasure send him from the arctic to new York ...
...just get POTC and ditch national treasure as that should be left buried in my opinion. 2 discs, no extras, £15 on Amazon new, £11 used I had to give it poorer ratings due to the inclusion of National treasure.the effects in POTC were pretty good but stunts/action/excitement were pretty thin on the ground with national treasure not sure if this is allowed but i met a 'pirate' in Sydney in april this year who was the spitting image of Depp, here's ... And Some Skittles
Review of Bad Boys (Superbit) (Wide Screen) by Nathan_Innit

Advantages: Performances, storyline and effects
Disadvantages: Nothing, it's honestly perfect

Looking at Bad Boys there is no way I would imagine this was released when I was just 6 years old back in 1995, as it's a film that can stand tall even to this day. I'm not sure how groundbreaking it was back in the day but to me it seems like it must have been a film ahead of its time, because surely films haven't evolved for over 10 years? This morning I rewatched Bad Boys, and what follows is my verdict. Martin Lawrence is the star of the film ...
...are partners in crime - Bad Boys. Previous to this Lawrence's biggest appearance was in Big Momma's House, and unlike Smith I haven't really seen Lawrence in any films that have grabbed me, he's currently in pre-production for a 2008 released called The Better Man. Unlike Smith who always seems to be involved in something, whether it be a music career or more big releases like 'iRobot' and 'Pursuit of Happyness'. Opening scenes are always crucial ... Batman is forever.
Review of Batman Forever DVD by naseire

Advantages: Jim Carrey is electrifying.
Disadvantages: Michael Keaton's always a better Batman

...admit it. I absolutely adore Batman movies. My father and I have bonding time when Ireland play an international soccer match and Batman plays on TCM. I mean let's be honest if they weren't so fantastic then why would people such as Jack Nicholson, George Clooney, Uma Thurman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton etc. continually lend their name to them? Now I would be the first to admit that mentally challenging or stimulating they are ...
...go. Of the four Batman movies, Batman forever undoubtedly is the most entertaining and while some of the lines are so cheesy you cringe while watching them eg when the fight between Batman (Val Kilmer) and Robin (Chris O' Donnell) is finally resolved they declare, "Let's do this partner, no friend!" I mean come on, not even for a fan is that easy to stomach but some of the lines are excellent and Jim Carrey as the Riddler with his quick, jerky body ... Read review
