A Sinning City
Review of Sin City DVD by
ChemicalRomance
Advantages: The blood and gore
Disadvantages: May be too gruesome for some
Until a few days ago I had no idea what this film was actually about . I had some thought but of the story line I knew nothing. Then thanks to the BBC for showing it on BBC3 and my boyfriend watching the DVD, I know realise what all the fuss was about and how superb the film is.
Released on April 1st 2005 at 124 running minutes long this film is combined of three of Frank Millers graphic novels.
These are;
The Hard Goodbye
The Big Fat Kill
That ... ...involved in this ensemble cast I could talk about their past films for hours but I will stick to naming some of the main charters I'm sure you will recognise the names anyway.
Characters;
Hartigan = played by Bruce Willis, is the stereotypical good cop, always willing to take the fall to save someone he cares about, even if it does mean sacrificing his own life. R even alienating himself for the sake of an eleven year old girl.
Marv = played by ...

Rambo :60's war on american soldiers
Review of The Rambo Trilogy (Box Set) by
don_joe
Advantages: Your Survival Guide
Disadvantages: Don't be Rambo
...just say that Rambo is the best combat vet I've ever seen. A pure fighting machine with only a desire-to win a war that someone else lost. And if winning means he has to die, he'll die. No fear, no regrets. And one more thing-what you choose to call hell…he calls home." A Vietnam veteran named John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone, Rocky) wanders into a small town called Hope, where he has a run-in with a sadistic sheriff named Will Teasle (Brian Dennehy, ... ...the war. When Rambo snaps and escapes, it begins a manhunt that will almost certainly end in tragedy. When the small sheriff's department realize they are up against a highly trained killer, more people are called in to deal with the threat, including Rambo's old commanding officer, Colonel Trautman (Richard Crenna, Body Heat).
In Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo is pulled from prison to return to Vietnam. It seems that some American POWs are still ...

This act is each year a random school class is transported to an island to fight to the death just to make it worse each child is given a weapon, it could be a frying pan, a knife, a gun, anything and each is also fitted with a collar that blows the head off if in an area that is a no go zone. Certain zones on the island become ... ...a limited amount of time to leave that area or bang. Also if more than one surivor is left still standing then all the surivers died unless they kill each other till one is left.
Tartan Asia Extreme have made some of the best films around recently and this is the cream of the crop.
Everyone should see this if they like horror because the extreme lenghts people will go to survive is the most horrorifing aspect of human nature

Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring (Extended Version) by
danfellowes
Advantages: Great cinematics, special effects, acting, location, extras
Disadvantages: none
■The Book■
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the first in the trilogy of films by director Peter Jackson taken from the 1930-40s novels by J.R.R.Tolkien. The books were published between 1937 and 1949. The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 1937. The story loosely follows on from an earlier work by Tolkien, 'The Hobbit'. This is a tale of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, going on an adventure across Middle Earth and finding ... ...just the Shire. Well now Bilbo has grown old, gracefully it may be said, and due to his adventure is outcasted a little by his fellow Shire-folk. Well 'The Fellowship of the Ring' is the turn of Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew who lives with him in Bag End.
The story of the books is that Bilbo while on his travels around Middle Earth with the wise wizard Gandalf the Grey, he picked up a strange artifact: A ring. A ring he managed to win in a game ...
