Advantages: Historically accurate with terrific battle scenes.
Disadvantages: Not much in the way of dvd extras.

Sharpe is based on the novels by Bernard Cornwell. He is a young infantry soldier in the napoleonic war who gets raised from the ranks by the Duke of Wellington after saving his life. There are 14 dvd's in the box set but there are very few extras. ...Pierce Brosnan Like many Bond fans I already owned many of the films included in the case and so had to think twice about upgrading my Special Edition Bond collection to the Ultimate Edition. The age of some of the films meant that some of the DVDs I had were of poor quality the Ultimate edition features newly restored picture and soundtrack on each film and is easily worth the £200+ fee alone. An absolutely great movie. This movie was awesome from the word go. It's got a very atmospheric feel and all the characters in the film are great. The film is made up of a few short stories kinda like pulp fiction. It's a very graphic and violent movie based on the underworld and its comic book picturisation creates a great atmosphere.
