It's Rocky vs The Cold War!
Advantages: The montages Disadvantages: It's a bit cartoonish and over the top
...left on this planet for Rocky to beat. He'd already prevailed over Apollo Creed, Mr T and even Hulk Hogan. His next opponent? The Soviet Union. A couple of years after his victory against Clubber Lang, Rocky is still on top. But a new threat emerges from behind the Iron Curtain in the form of Ivan Drago - a hulking Soviet boxer whose strength borders on superhuman. Drago is set to fight Rocky for the heavyweight title, but a patriotic Apollo Creed ... ...to avenge his friend's death, Rocky drops his heavyweight title and travels to Russia to fight Drago. Whereas Drago trains in a high-tech gym with scientists monitoring his every move, Rocky embarks on a mad strength training regime in freezing Siberian weather to toughen himself up. When the fight finally comes around, both men are in phenomenal shape and determined to win, but Drago is still much bigger and stronger. Worse, the entire Soviet crowd ...

The movie Top Gun was the first of its kind for military movies
Advantages: Action packed, thrilling, great storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't follow the exact truth of the real top gun
In my opinion, Top Gun was the first of its kind in relation to the military drama and action. They used real footage of F-14s and F-5s out in the desert and caught the footage from chase planes and positions on the ground. As well as the film footage of the outside of the planes is, the footage from inside the cockpit(s), are, in my opinion, crappy and unrealistic. Although, given the technology of the time the movie was filmed, the director did ... ...in the show, came from Top Gun. If the scene was supposed to be at night, they changed the lighting in the film to make it seem as if it was taped at night, but really they just took the film shot during daylight for Top Gun and darkened it. The same goes for any scenes where the pilots are supposed to be going against Migs in the t.v. show, they took the old Top Gun F-5 footage and used it instead. The storyline, although entertaining, funny, action ...

...world to save. ' Big Trouble In Little China ' (1986) Is B-Movie form the Horror Director John Carpenter from the 1980's. This is quite different from is other films such as ' Halloween ' 'Fog ' as it plays around with a multitude of ideas but seemingly not pushing any real frightening aspects. This film can be classed as a Horror, Romantic comedy, Action or even a Fantasy because of all the underlying ideoligies within the film. "So we mix it up. ... ...salad bar." A quote from Jack Burton ' Kurt Russell '. One of the many funny quotations within the film. This movie is also legendary for being one of the first and probably only Hollywood movie to employ pretty much every Chinese/American actor alive at the time. seen alot in the use of the red and white conflicting wars of the back ally's of China town. The special effects of this film look extreamly sublime especially for the time of filming, ...

Well over the top
Advantages: the ending credits were great Disadvantages: The 90 odd minutes i watched
...Michael, (played by Mendenhall) for over ten years so when his dying estranged wife asks him to collect him from school and spend time with him he stumbles along blindly, still trying to be the single man he has become accustomed to.
Only things don't go as smooth as he hoped in his attempts to get closer to his own flesh and blood… especially as Michaels grandfather, (played by Robert Loggia) hates Lincoln and has done everything in his power to ... ...title does say it all… OVER THE TOP…
Stallone really should feel embarrassed about his role in this teeth grinding, mind numbing pile of trash. It is a simple story of a man fighting against the odds to win the respect of his son, but for some reason someone decided to throw in an arm wrestling competition…? WHY?
The trucker idea was a good one, I mean what better way to get to know someone than be stuck in a small moving cabin, steadily heading ...

Youngblood - I'm gonna carve you up Racki!
Advantages: Classic 80's fodder Disadvantages: Standard sports film storyline
I guess the target market for this DVD release would be the now (late)-30 somethings who fondly remember this film from their various misspend youths. Certainly that was how I picked up the film as this formed a vast amount of my video and film watching time back when I was a teenager. "Youngblood" tells the story of Dean Youngblood, a talented young ice hockey player who is desperate to leave the impoverished farm he works with his father and older ... ...Canadian youth team, the Hamilton Mustangs, he impresses the coach, Murray Chadwick, with his speed and skill but not so much with his size and strength. When the rough and ready Racki, a formidable rival trialist kicks Dean all over the ice it looks like Dean may not get the call up he so wants. Still all's well that ends well and Dean makes the team and gets to meet his new teammates, who strip and shave him. He also encounters Miss McGill his ...
