My own review of the film "First Blood".

Advantages: Nice action, sets the stage for future Rambo movies, good acting.
Disadvantages: Storyline is not so good or captivating, honestly speaking.

This is the first installment movie of the very famous Rambo series. John Rambo(Sylvester Stallone) is an ex-vietnam operative, and a green beret soldier, trained and expert in guerilla fighting. In a city, he gets into a misunderstanding with the local cops. When they try to convict him, he injures them and escapes from the police station. After a long cop chase, he finally manages to escape into the forest. The cops, as usual, decide to capture ...
...to track him down. But as the saying goes: " Don't try to mess with a tiger (Rambo here) in the forest". Cops, who till now have no idea of what Rambo is capable of in a forest, try to capture Rambo; they get themselves seriously injured instead, are forced to return, and decide to employ special forces to track him down. Pity that fool!

Advantages: Eye of the Tiger! Adrenaline fuelled fight scenes. Mr T
Disadvantages: Slightly over the top. Doesn't stick to the spirit of the original.

Knight Rider

Advantages: KITT - the wonder-car
Disadvantages: It is what it is - a cheesy 80s TV show

...the first ever episode of Knight Rider. I'd not seen the series for many years despite having watched it every week when it was first shown. However I've got quite into the habit of late of watching cheesy 1980s American adventure shows as they are becoming more and more available on DVD. My girlfriend previously watched all the episodes when they were shown on satellite and recommended it to me as good 'brain-in-neutral' kind of TV so I thought ...
...'extra' on disc 8 is Knight Rider 2000 which was a 'reunion movie' made a number of years after the final season of the original show. Quite why the DVD producers didn't decide to wait and add this as an extra on the final season DVD release I don't know, but it's good to have it. Also included are all of the other episodes of Season 1, although I haven't yet watched them - only the very first episode, entitled 'Knight Of The Phoenix'. I may update ...

Advantages: Great to read about
Disadvantages: Pretty awful to watch
