Three unbelievable motion pictures
Advantages: Great acting and filming. Disadvantages: very lengthy, can get boring for some, NOT ME.
The truely monstrous task of cramming a whole tolkien 'Lord of the rings' novel into a single movie looked unthinkable until Peter Jackson had a go, producing three spectacular films. 'The Fellowship of the Ring' was the first novel and so rightly, the first film to be created. The imagery and detail was incredible and after leaving the cinema I felt it was obvious i needed to go back just to re-live tolkiens world once again. But the film didn't ... ...once fairly unknown actor) shook the stage, it was in my opinion the best acting performance I have ever witnessed. I later found out that Viggo had learnt everything for this film, from horse riding to sword fighting, he truely wanted to get fully involved in the films action. Other leading roles included Gandalf, the old, kind wizzard, a friend to the ring bearer frodo, and a character whos careing attitude brought frodo to the edge of mount doom ...

Nothing to do with the wild wild west!
Advantages: Great spin off Disadvantages: Only lasted a season
INTRODUCTION
Do you remember the X-Files? Mulder and Scully and those alien conspiracy theories? If you do, you may also remember an odd looking trio called 'The Lone Gunmen' who often assisted the two FBI agents in seeking out the truth.
For those of you with short memories and/or no idea who I am talking about, The Lone Gunmen were three men armed with a pixel-load of computer equipment, a thirst for the paranormal, bad hair [and even worse dress ... ...who produced this spin-off from the X-Files] decided to can the whole thing after just twelve episodes.
If you are infact a Mulder and Scully virgin, then I wouldn't be too concerned as this can stand on it's own two feet. Infact, it takes a slightly different outlook from the X-Files.
PERSONAL NOTES: I was never a huge fan of the X-Files and endured it purely because an ex-partner loved it. It became far more interesting however with the introduction ...

Reeve is the ONLY Superman
Advantages: exhaustive bonus material / New versions of 1 & 2. Disadvantages: Superman IV should be thrown onto a fire
...reasons to get this: Superman the Movie (with the extra footage never before seen) and Superman II (the Richard Donner Cut).
Bonus Disc:
If you had a taste for watching a bit of Superman one afternoon, you won't by the end of this: It's cram-packed with all kinds of documentaries, early versions of Superman the B&W TV series (which really looks pre-historic now), and some cartoons. Enough to keep you busy all afternoon and actually be bored of ... ...Movie:
The never before seen footage makes you wonder why they cut it from the original, as there are some clever special effects showing that Superman is extreme temperature resistant. Perhaps the running time was an issue, however, for one who's seen Superman a thousand times, the extra footage will not dissapoint.
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut:
This is where over half the film has been remade with recently found footage that was thought ...

The results of this experiment are Amnesia for Luke and advertisements that appear right in front of Lukes eyes. Luke thinks he is going mad until one of the visions he has helps him to escape difficult situations. Luke is finally introduced to his rescuers, punk rockers Red and her brother Blue. Crank It Up
Advantages: Quality action scenes, Jason Statham THE MAN FOR THE PART!! Disadvantages: If there is such a thing as too much action...
...movie than a blunt instrument, Crank is an explosion of sex, violence and drugs, which have their effects used in the short term, but showing in every scene becomes a tad tedious. From the look of it, first time directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor looked to make a compact film with a running time of 83 minutes. Although the size, the directors refused to leave out any graphic scene, which they had obviously been storing up for their cinematic ... ...hitman, Chev Chelios (One of the worst hitman names in cinematic history) who has been lethally injected with some sort of Chinese sh*t, which he realises when he finds a DVD on his of course, huge flat screen television. From the obscenity scrawled across his face you could tell that it was not there before he went to bed. The DVD is of a cringingly stereotypical Latino villain Verona (Jose Pablo Cantillo) gleefully gloating about injecting him ...
