The lord of the rings: the two towers
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers DVD by nicmrkhm

Advantages: acting, story, action packed
Disadvantages: duration of three hours

...of visual effects and acting, the fact that there are some fairly unknown actors playing some major roles helps with the fantasy feeling like a reality. if you've read the books then yyou maybe disappointed by the film as obviously there are bits that had to be missed out in order to cut the running time, if this is a major problem then i'd recommend you look into purchasing the extended edition. however if you havent read the books then this film ...
...film because of the action packed nature of it but girls there are plenty of advantages to the mainly male cast. this is not a film for you if you prefer short and snappy films as the running time is nearing 3 hours i believe. If you like the first film (the fellowship of the ring) then you'll love this one all the more if not for the story but for the battle at helms deep. it is worth seeing just for that! the story itself continues on from the ... Don't tell the elf!
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers (Special Extended Edition) by pmcds

Advantages: Great stuff all round
Disadvantages: Very long. Elijah Wood very slightly over the top

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the second in the Middle-Earth trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. There will be a spoiler in this review for any who have not already seen the film or read the book. The Plot The plot of the film follows immediately on from the first film. With the Fellowship split up, the story takes on three parts. Frodo and Sam continue their quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mordor, aided by the untrustworthy ...
...the right path. Merry and Pippin, the other two hobbits from the Fellowship, take a different path by way of capture: as prisoners of the creatures created by the Dark Lord Sauron and his minions. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli set off to rescue the kidnapped hobbits but find themselves embroiled in a battle for mankind, joining forces with other men and creatures against Sauron's forces, marching on Isengard. The Cast and Performances The majority ... Read review

Underrated James Bond Entry
Review of The World Is Not Enough (Ultimate Edition) by arthurpringle

Advantages: Great cast, decent script
Disadvantages: Bit drab in places

After the fun but cut and paste Tomorrow Never Dies (which ran out of steam about halfway through) a slight change of direction was required for Pierce Brosnan's third adventure. Michael Apted, a director not known for action or adventure films, was chosen to helm the film. The emphasis was clear. Content that their stunt crews could handle the action, Eon decided to pick a director who could work with actors and give their cast more to do than simply ...
...be the stripped-down and more realistic Brosnan Bond. Did they succeed? The answer is almost. Apted is the biggest strength of the film but also a weakness. At the start of the film Bond has to collect Sir Robert King's stolen money in Bilbao. Things go pear-shaped and he has to escape from a building several floors up. The scene illustrates how comfortable Brosnan is with the role now. "If you can't trust a Swiss banker, then what's the world come ... Read review

This movie will make you cringe
Review of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle DVD by RedTape

Advantages: It shows you just how bad hollywood movies can get
Disadvantages: It shows you just how bad hollywood movies can get

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is yet another example of a movie that has had a lot of good advertising but can prove a disappointment for some once you've watched it. In fact, I can list it as one of the worst big budget action movies I have ever watched. Why? First of all the acting was not impressive, especially coming from an all star cast, which included actors such as Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Bruce Willis, Bernie ...
...goes to waste. There is also the fact that the angels are not required to do much acting, mostly posing and looking pretty. Another thing that absolutely killed me when watching this was the lack of really good special effects as I had hoped it would at least have if nothing else. If the acting is not good in an action movie I would love for the stunts and effects to be great at least. The fight scenes and special effects weren't the least believable. ... Read review

The Classic Western Gets A Kick In The Pants
Review of Shanghai Noon (Wide Screen) by MotherMacLean

Advantages: Jackie Chan/Owen Wilson
Disadvantages: No graphics other then good acting

...another film together other then Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights, well done I would give this film a 9 out of 10 for everything. There really wasn't much graphics, but that's the way Jackie Chan likes it not many stunts he wouldn't do himself. There is some mild bad language in this film and also some mild sex and nudity and of course there is frequent to moderate valance in it but like I said of course its a Jackie Chan film doesn't that say ...
...out giving too much of the film away was the drinking games that was funny were they really drunk, and if they were not they acted very well on them sconces. Type of film Adventure/Action/Martial Arts Rated 12 totally the right rating for this film Running Time 106 min's (1 hr 46 min's) Directed by - Tom Dey Also he directed Show Time/ The Hunger the TV series/Failure To Lunch/The Big House Writers ...
