...of visual effects and acting, the fact that there are some fairly unknown actors playing some major roles helps with the fantasy feeling like a reality. if you've read the books then yyou maybe disappointed by the film as obviously there are bits that had to be missed out in order to cut the running time, if this is a major problem then i'd recommend you look into purchasing the extended edition. however if you havent read the books then this film ...

King Kong is a jaw dropping, eye popping, thrilling and heart stopping movie epic. This is one of the best remakes ever and it is absaloutely amazing. i really wanted to watch this because peter jackson directed it and i hoped it would be as big as lord of the rings. i can't really see how the original was better than this version. basically a film crew travel to skull island to make a movie with jack black(hilarious) as a director of the movie. ...

...honest I didn't go into Hidalgo with anticipation, and in the early stages at least, I didn't see any need to rectify my decision. What I saw was a cringingly amateurish atttempt to emulate a cowboy film, with poor acting and exasperating characters.
