Advantages: The best movie of 2008...... So far

...now find myself having watched Hancock awarding the movie the highest accolade I can by stating that of the movies so far, Hancock is the best movie of 2008. I avoided everything I possibly could to do with Hancock because to be honest the trailer failed to impress me. ..."Super Heroes". Hancock's superhero John Hancock (Will Smith) is not the traditional form of hero, he is an alcoholic, is verbally abusive, and has an appetite for destruction. While he wants to do good, nothing is ever quite thought through enough, while he might stop a group of armed thieves he may very well destroy half the city doing so. ...the terrible mistakes which were Batman and Robin and Batman Forever. This time the costumes were good, the acting was good, and I actually enjoyed Katie Holmes in it even though for some reason I have been a bit prejudiced to her since Dawson's Creek and several other teenage movies she starred in in that era. As for the plot of the show, it's exactly like what the name suggests. It's about how Batman was made. I say buy it ;) ... Read review

...So when I heard about Hancock and the brief plot, I was intrigued to say the least. Here is what Hancock is about. Plot John Hancock is a miserable, alcoholic superhero who attempts to save lives at his own choice but due to the fact he's flying whilst drunk, he's caused the city millions and millions of dollars in damage. One day Hancock saves a guy called Ray, who has a dream to save the world, and sees something in Hancock that no one else sees. ...
...for the better. Is it any good? I went in expecting not a lot, and about ten minutes in I turned to my mum and pretty much told her exactly what the twist was and how it was going to end. About half way through I got slapped, due to the fact I had managed to pretty much describe the whole thing. In my eyes' it's very predictable, however I really enjoyed it. Advantages: Amusing worth a watch
Disadvantages: Rather frivolous and childish for such serious subject matter

The initial point that seems to tease itself out of the narrative is that the casting director was rather at a loss in terms human resources as the only convincing actor of the main cast is the evil-mullah who very realistically plays himself. Sarmad seems to suggest in the transition to his Islamic awakening, that the Pakistani middle classes are utterly devoid of any critical faculty. This perhaps has to do with the fact that the director/producer ...

Cut to the UK and a seemingly middle-class woman (inter-alia as we later discover) and a well to do immigrant Pakistani evidently reared Mary/Mariam.. a pseudo-cockney whose accent is so excruciatingly bad that it sounds like chalk on a blackboard.
