I was pleasantly surprised to hear an extremely beautiful acoustic version of "Trouble", I understand this was one of Lindsey's hits in the 80's and searched YouTube for the original version and I can tell you now the stripped down version of "Trouble" in this DVD is fantastic to the point that I think he should re-release this version as a single, just as Stevie Nicks had done in 2006 with "Dreams" What else can I say about this music DVD- well it is a very stripped down version of all of Lindsey's hits old and new. Three of the songs are from his newly released album "Under the Skin" to which Lindsey had been working on before he rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the new album "Say You Will" , the tracks include " Someone Gotta Change Your Mind", "Down on the Rodeo" and "I am Waiting... ...I am a Tenacious D fan. I went to the show they put on in London's Brixton Academy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I later found out that it was going to be released on DVD. Being able to see the show again on DVD sent me over the moon. I was a very pleased D fan. Let me paint a picture in your mind first of all, for those of you that aren't aware of who or what Tenacious D is. Tenacious D is a thoroughly entertaining comedic duo targeted for the adult audience that can sing, holding many live shows and even releasing an album. The band is comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, Black has had success in movies, his latest film being 'School of Rock'. Gass has also appeared in movies, although not to the extent of Black. ...enough to have seen them live, you will know what I mean. They enjoy their music, they enjoy making their fans happy and they enjoy having a laugh. It has been argued for many years that a group who do not take themselves seriously could not produce great music. Tenacious D set out to prove this wrong and this DVD shows how successful they have been. The DVD "Tenacious D - The Complete Masterworks" is a double DVD. Disk one consists of the live gig the duo performed at The Brixton Academy in November 2002. It contains 15 live tracks, with hilarious comedy skits in between the songs. If you have heard the album, you will know most of the songs, but to hear them performed live, with just two guys on acoustic guitars is something else.
