If you enjoyed Pet Detective you are bound to enfoy this film. Jim Carrey is on top form in an adventure that includes the usual mayhem. The particularly nasty bad-guy a smooth talking colonial villan seeking to make an illisit fortune gets his cumupance when Ace exposes his dirty dealings. But by far the greatest scene in the film is when Ace gets into competition with the chief of the local tribe. Beware of the magic word chikaka if you want to avoid beibg eaten! The final chase is not to be missed and check out Ace's unparalled parking skills!

Advantages: Carrey is funny, pulling great jokes off perfectly, assisted by able actors intensifying the silliness of Ventura. Hee hee Disadvantages: ventura can be seen as a tad weak, but if he was serious atall then it owuld ruin the plot, a point especially clear in a scene with Cox where his "serious" side comes out
