Clint eastwood proves he can act, and not only play the tough guy in this one.
Clint plays a thief who whist in the process of robbing someone witnesses a murder, by someone who really should know better. Because of this his life is threatened and he goes into hiding, it's only when his daughter is also threatened that he goes after Gene Hackman, who also as usual plays a great part.
Ok the story may be a smidgen unbelievable but it is handled very well. Eastwood is great and his interplays with Ed Harris are cracking, it moves a good pace and does deliver the goods. I think I'm luck that I haven't read the book cos it seems that most who have didn't like the film.
