Advantages: Good for beginners with a little experience Disadvantages: Not for complete beginners
...This is a good DVD for anyone who wants to get started on the electric guitar, and begin to play things a bit more complicated to impress friends and family.
Keith Wyatt is obviously a very accomplished and skilled guitar player, and he knows what he's talking about. He presents new skills clearly and teaches what he knows well.
The only flaw in this DVD is that it may be too hard for complete beginners of the guitar. Where a couple of the lessons it has should be devoted to how to hold the guitar, tuning, how to strum properly and basic chords, it races through these basic skills quite quickly.
However, once you have mastered these key skills, the instructional guide moves along at a good pace, and covers lots of things, such as minor pentatonic scales, major pentatonic scales, dominant chords, power chords, and how to play in electric...

Advantages: Amazing guitaring, classic tunes, good sound Disadvantages: no dramatics apart from the playing
...I have recently bought this DVD and to sum it up straight away it is briliant. Eric performs on the Austin City Limits TV Show
But don't by this DVD if your expecting fireworks and stage dramatics!!
The reason for this is that Eric Johnson is a perfectionist, he wants every note perfect, while watching Cliffs of Dover you will notice a shake of the head when he muffles 1 note by mistake!!
He even such a perfectionist he even makes sure he uses certain batteries in his pedals as that can affect the sound.
But back to the DVD, recorded in Austin Texas 14th December 1988.
Eric on guitar, Kyle Brock on bass and Tommy Taylor on drums.
The sounds Eric can get off his guitar are out of this world.
The band are very tight and Johnsons Improvising skills are amazing.
My personal faves on this DVD are Cliffs of Dover, Desert Rose and a cover...

Advantages: Very good clips of the band doing what they do best ! Disadvantages: Doesnt show all songs from Glastonbury : (
...Let me start by saying that i am a mahoosive MUSE fan and i really wanted to go to see them at glastonbury as i just knew it would be an amazing gig. So i took the less hassle option of waiting for this DVD to be released after the concert!
Muse have been around since 1996 and from then on they have wowwed audiences all around the world and have been officially labelled as "the best band live" which i would 100% agree with after seeing them perform. The band concicts of Matthew Bellamy on Vocals, Guitar and piano - Dominic Howard on drums and Chris wolstenholme on Bass and vocals and piano for the odd song too. The band play what i would call 'Progressive Rock' the band manage to create a huge amount of sound despite only have three members who are constantly trying new things in music, which is why there songs never die down...
