The movie is based on a true story. A story of drug sex and more drug fuled partying in New York in the late 80s early 90s. It tells the story how of too much psychedelic raving can eventually lead to punishment - and in this case imprisonment. The movie is based on two main real life characters, Michael Alig, and James St. James. Michael Alig is currently in prison completing an undefined sentence...while his friend wrote a book on their life in New York. Advantages: An interesting insite to a side of Blaine that has not be shown before.
Disadvantages: Dark and violent. Slightly extreme for mainstream.

Advantages: Great to see some Bitish streetball
Disadvantages: Still isn't as good as the American alternative

...Ball above all is a collection of basketball clips from games around Britain. This is an idea first thought of by the good people at And1 and has since the first And1 mixtape back in the day been repeated regularly. However, this is the first real British attempt and although it does not stand up to it's counterpart from the US it is a good try and it is promising to see this kind of thing coming out of the ghetto streets of somewhere like Swansea. The quality of the players is not as good and therefore there are not as many sick moves. There are still highflying dunks and eyeboggling handles that will leave you wanting to play the game. As a basketball player myself i know the problems that the British game faces with money and interest sorely lacking. Hopefully this DVD will be able to help increase the interest when youngsters see... Read review
