Advantages: Disc would make a nice Frisbee Disadvantages: Too many to count.
...I remember summer holidays from school, spending mornings watching films by these two comics as they used to show a lot of their re-runs in those days. (When ah were a lad!) They made a lot of spoof horror films as I recall, such as ‘Abbott and Costellomeet Frankenstein…’ or the Mummy… They were pretty funny as well, or so I thought. About five years ago I saw a bit of one of these spoof films and found that Lou Costello still made me laugh a bit even then, so when I saw this film for an extremely cheap price I had to get it.
I have been checking out old films a bit of late – I recently watched a Laurel and Hardy film, but that was pants. Would Bud and Lou restore my faith in comedy of the 1950’s? Would I be happy to climb the tallest building in the area and shout down to the people, ‘Hey, you, fear not! For this comedy duo can still...

...Jekyll is a modern version of the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde story. The drama depicts actor James Nesbitt as Dr Jackmen, decendant of Dr Jekyll. The story is set over one hundred years on from the original Dr Jekyll and Mr hyde in 2007 and starts with Dr Jackman making a deal with his evil side to share their body on shifts. As the drama goes on viewers learn that Dr JAckman has a family that Hyde originally doesnt know about, an organisation named Cline and Utterson is tracking Jackmans every move and controling his life and that Dr Jackman is dying. Advantages: Brilliant modern day story Disadvantages: Not good if you're squemish or easily scared!
...This is a 2 Disc DVD box set, which is six part thriller including uncut scenes and DVD extras, and guaranteed to have you hooked!
Jekyll is a modern day update of the classic tale 'Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde', by Robert Louis Stevenson. 'Jekyll' gives the original horror story a great twist to the tale, which I think works really well. It's a fantastic story with lot's of twists and turns, so you never really know what will happen next…..which is great, there's nothing worse than watching the start of a series and it being so predictable you could write it yourself! But not this series, a really well written story with some fantastic acting from James Nesbitt, who plays both Tom (Jekyll) and Hyde so well. It's refreshing to see him play such a layered charismatic role, which I think he plays beautifully.
