Advantages: Disc would make a nice Frisbee Disadvantages: Too many to count.
...I remember summer holidays from school, spending mornings watching films by these two comics as they used to show a lot of their re-runs in those days. (When ah were a lad!) They made a lot of spoof horror films as I recall, such as ‘Abbott and Costellomeet Frankenstein…’ or the Mummy… They were pretty funny as well, or so I thought. About five years ago I saw a bit of one of these spoof films and found that Lou Costello still made me laugh a bit even then, so when I saw this film for an extremely cheap price I had to get it.
I have been checking out old films a bit of late – I recently watched a Laurel and Hardy film, but that was pants. Would Bud and Lou restore my faith in comedy of the 1950’s? Would I be happy to climb the tallest building in the area and shout down to the people, ‘Hey, you, fear not! For this comedy duo can still...

...Abbott and Costello's Jack and the Bean Stalk.
Saw this film just before Christmas; I remember how much I used to laugh whenever I saw Abbott and Costello on the television when I was younger,
So for £4.99 I thought, what a bargain.
Bar of Chocolate, bag of crisps, and a mug of tea, I was sorted, ready for a good nights viewing of laughter.
Well to be brutally honest, I cant remember laughing once, It was nothing that the guys were doing different or wrong, the routine was just as I remember it to be, but I know longer found them funny at all.
In fact I was quite shocked at how badly Budd seemed to treat Lou, I felt really sorry for the little guy.
The story is basically as we all know it, but in this film, it starts as Jack is baby sitting young Donald, he reads him the story of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' to help settle him down...

...that allowed the crew to make the characters of Costello.
The General Plot: The film starts off in 1976 Boston, where Irish mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) meets a young innocent child names Collin Sullivan (Matt Damon). Frank takes Sullivan under his wing, training him for a future as a cop working for the Boston police, whilst also being a mole for Frank.
The film picks up several years later, where Sullivan has just graduated Boston Academy of Police, whilst at the same time William Costigan also graduated from another branch. Sullivan is quickly promoted to Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U), however Costigan who is also applying for the same role, is told he will never become a cop. Instead Captain Oliver Queenan (Martin Sheen) & Staff Sergeant Dignam (Mark Walberg), want Costigan to become and undercover informant, who must...
