A Year Without Love DVD

Advantages: The digital animation looks far more visually impressive than the usual drawn cartoons.
Disadvantages: It would be very difficult to find any faults.

...This film is utterly charming. I paid the maximum purchasing price, which is unusual for me, and it was worth it. Each of the short Christmas tales has a moral which is made in a light-hearted, humerous and engaging way. Nothing heavy handed or dogmatic. My children aged between twelve and four at the time that I bought it last year really enjoyed it and I know we will watch it repeatedly every winter. Although the DVD seems to be aimed at under tens, adults will love it too. The film is visually spectacular. It left us hoping that Disney would produce something similar every Christmas. We liked the song on the story about Goofy's son and his relationship with his dad. This story may strike a chord with teenagers who feel embarrased by their parents! All in all this is a DVD no household with children should be without.... Read review

This ranks along side the Boston Elevation DVD not as many extras but still a fantastic DVD.This was a fantastic concert computured briliantly on this DVD. A very emotional Gig with all the classics played, even an old time fan will love this DVD with their First ever Single being played. I DONT get why you would want this is this CD Box format, i would have the other versions that come in the standard DVD box, each to their own.... Read review

Advantages: Energetic, fun entertainment for under 5's
Disadvantages: All about Josie, I prefer the other balamory dvds.

...If you've never seen an episode of Balamory it features stories based around the lives of seven colourful and cheerful adult characters living in Balamory. Josie Jump is one of these characters-the gym teacher who is always full of energy. She never sits still! Josie loves to dance and run and jump, and play sport. There are three Balamory episodes in this DVD all featuring Josie Jump. Couch Potato Poor Edie McCredie is worn out after rushing around doing chores for Archie, who is just being lazy and eating too many biscuits! They call on Josie Jump to help them restore their energy levels. The Ballet Josie has a great idea for a ballet performance at the nursery.
