...This film annoys me terribly. Since when did the yanks do all this on their own? They have simply taken a story of British victory and twisted it to glorify themselves (yet again). The British people are mentioned twice in the entire movie, once because we were referred to as the Brits and another time to say that the Yanks were going to dock in England. The film made me just want to leave but I (or someone else) had paid for the ticket so I thought that I should stay til the end. The yanks have simply made a film to make themselves look good for some unknown reason. The film is absolutely terrible and not at all historically accurate....

...The basis of the film is that the crew have been sent to get a enigma decoding device from a German U boat. One of the heroes Andrew Tyler has been denied becoming a captain therefore when trouble occurs he sees his chance to take over as Captain an d prove himself
An action packed film with some excellent film work and scenes. There are a number of big bangs and the special effects make the film which is a bit lacking at times with dialouge. Although the Yanks have made themselves heroes just remember that it was the brits that actually did this but dont let it spoil the film.
Worth a viewing anyway go and see it....
