A walk to remember is a teen movie. Starring Shane West and Pop singer Mandy Moore.
Story line The film centres on the characters of Jamie(mandy moore) and the coolest guy in school, Landon (Shane West). They walk in completely different circles. However as a result of a punishment after an incident involving Landon, him and Jamie are forced to spend time togeter and feelings soon change, along with their lives in a way you could never imagine. I loved this film, the storyline was heartfelt and real, as well as being a teen film it illustrates real issues of loss and love.
The actors. I thought that the actors chosen for this film were perfect. Shane West is truly the epitomy of a super cool high school guy, with his good looks and attitude. He played the part of Landon, in a way that made him real and relatable.
Mandy moore was also fantastic in this film, she has a truly beautiful voice, and this is shown in the film. Her ability to bring a character to life as a actress is perfectly demonstrated in the way in which she plays the character of Jamie. She draws you so far into the film, that you actually forget that its only a teen film. The soundtrack is another thing that i love about this film, the songs are all great, and mandy moore features in a few of the songs on the soundtrack album, as well as singing in the film itself.
Bonus features. The film doesn't erally have any bonus features, but to be honest that doesnt make it any less appealing to buy. It doesn't need any, the film itself is more than enough.
Thhis is a film that i can watch again and again, despite the fact that it reduces me to tears every time i do watch it. Yes people it is a sad film, but don't let that discourage you from watching it. I don't want to spoil the whole story for people who haven't watched it so i don't want to elaborate any more on the storyline, but this film i found so relatable. It touched on an event that could touch anyone of us in some form, and in fact i have experience of the issue that Jamie deals with, and the fact that a film, depicted the emotions of that so well, really opens peoples eyes.
As to the price, i got this dvd in the sale for £5, you can pick it up fairly cheap, and is well worth the money.
Overall i think this is a fabulous film, i will continue to watch it time and time again, its not ur usual teen film, its an exception, and is well worth watching.
The film is rated a PG, Running time is approximately 98 minutes.
