A Simple Man DVD

Advantages: Shows the beautiful Isle of Man
Disadvantages: Definetly a niche market for this

...on flying trips, and as such such of the imaging was familiar, but it was indeed very nice. Now, onto the disadvantages that this offers. Firstly, it really is a niche market, as the DVD itself caters towards people with a love of celtic / gaelic music, and it is simply not very exciting. Its the type of DVD you can stick on, and go do some housework whilst it plays. The price tag may put people off too for just a simple 'music' video. However, the DVD is good for those who would like to see what the Isle of Man could offer, or you could always buy it for those grandparents who sit around and watch TV all day! But for the rest of us, its just a tourist video really.... Read review

Advantages: Mind blowing stuff
Disadvantages: Too many credits!!

...DVD cover, a simple picture of the man himself and the title in large letters. The menus are quite good, nice graphics, but not too long and simple to use. The special features are enjoyable, there's a nice little interview, which, despite not being as personal as that on "Inside Your Mind" is still fun to watch. There is also a behind the scenes featurette, which displays a bit more of Derren's sense of humour, but doesn't actually tell you much about what happens behind the scenes, but still worth a watch. Two unused routines are also included, another making a taxi driver get lost and a great little piece where he makes a pianist play a tune he was thinking of! The commentary is also a lot of fun to listen to, and he gives one or two tricks away, so listen closely ;-) I was glad that this DVD had the entire TV series, unlike his first... Read review

Advantages: Vintage filming and massive setlist
Disadvantages: No extra features

...and documentaries and they will complain that there's no point in a DVD if none of these are present. Such is the simplicity of The White Stripes however, that the only options from the menu screen are "Audio", "Play Concert" and "Songs". Already I can hear people moaning at their lack of special features. Those who do so completely miss the point. The reason the world has come to love The White Stripes is that the way they put such simple arrangements in a two-man band to great effect. Having special features on this DVD would be like having five members in The White Stripes. For any fan of The White Stripes who has not had a chance to see them live, this is the next best deal. The way the film is shot with Super 8 cameras and edited makes it both intriguing and exciting. However if you are only enticed by DVD's with two hours of extra footage... Read review

...Fantastic review of the 2004/2005 Season on DVD. The season where Arsenal won the FA Cup against Man Utd, and went 49 Games unbeaten. One of the best football related DVD's I have watched, the menus are easy to navigate and the quality and choice of the clips from matches selected is outstanding! There are a number of interviews with current players, past players, the manager, and backroom staff. The DVD gives you an insight into just how much work went into this amazing season, both on the pitch and behind the sceens. This DVD can be watched be anyone, of all ages, even if you are not technolocally minded, it is that simple to use!! Would definatly recommend to any Arsenal fan or football fans alike!... Advantages: Reasonably funny
Disadvantages: For older kids

...My kids love to watch these two airheads doing simple menial tasks and this series is no different to the other really. Paris and Nichole have fallen out at this point over something petty one would presume so you never get the two in the same room until the last chapter. This series sees them matering becoming housewives, looking after children, cooking, cleaning and going on a family vacation. As usual, the pair cause mayhem when they make simple tasks into major events. An example being Paris on a Segway trying to mop the floor and Nichole dumping a man's entire wardrobe into the swimming pool to soak before washing. Expect the usual language and hissy fits but enjoy it, it is quite funny and refreshing to see.... Read review

Advantages: Great Action Movie
Disadvantages: Lost the plot (what happened to the great story line)

...I have been waiting for years for this movie to be released.... Following on with the MATRIX story line.. Man gets phone call meets new people in long black coats meets new world, new world eats man, man learns new tricks, new tricks, trick man? man finds new world agent finds man finds WHAT? i'm lost now.. Anyway we get to the end of matrix 1 gripped to our seat thinking did i realy understand the simpleness of the film or am i just stupid? However Matrix reloaded, who would of thought it.. World eats man world fights man, man loves woman, woman dies, man brings woman back to life.... I lost it after this part wanted to walk out of this too far fetched sequal.. However i watched on with amazing effects and great action just no sequence or relevance to the first film, "NO" I was not going mad... its just a highly budgeted action... Read review
