Advantages: best part, special atmospheres, everything fits good Disadvantages: nothing
...want to say that I'm a pupil from Germany and this is my first opinion in English. Please be patient with me if my English sounds a bit strange to you !!!
One of the 7 parts of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" row belongs at least into every horror video collection. In the meantime they belong in this genre to the best known films although they pushed on sharp criticism again and again. Today I write about the best part of the row: A Nightmare on Elm ... ...summarize it. Fred Krueger was a brutal child murderer, who did his mischief in the American small town Springwood. He should be condemned, however, he was released due to a method fault again. The parents of the murdered children, who all lived in the Elm Street, decided to solve the problem in their own way. They burn Fred (he is later called Freddy) alive. They thought they would have defeated him for ever, but as it is so often in horror movies, ...

Advantages: Follows on from the first, Heather Langenkamp, good effects and a novel concept for the deaths. Disadvantages: Quite schmaltzy believe it or not - sometimes relies on effects too much. From this film onwards Freddy starts spouting crappy one-liners.
...: Freddy returns to terrorise a group of kids who have been consigned to a mental home due to their shared belief that "someone terrorises them in their dreams". Nancy Thompson returns to help the kids as she has now become a sleep therapist. Howver it is too late for some. Phil is forced by Freddy to jump from the rrof of the hospital while Jennifer is slammed into the TV screen by a very interactive Freddy TV. The group begin therapy together and ... ...returns in order to help a bunch of kids in an asylum who have begun to dream about Freddy - like the second movie in the trilogy the film, to be honest relies heavily on special effects but these are admittedly very effective for example a Freddy T.V. a snake. Another thing which many didn't notice in the movie is the clever way in which the victims are killed. Since the kids are unstable Freddy kills them in a way that looks like they have committed ...

Part 3 Review ofA Nightmare On Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors DVDby

Advantages: Better story & effects Disadvantages: none
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors. Now this is much better, had the series of continued on the tracks left by Freddy's Revenge, I'm not sure that the series would have gone on. Here Freddy develops a personality, moreso than some of the kids that he pick off! This is where humour was introduced - I don't think Freddy's Revenge was supposed to be funny, it was one of those so bad you have to laugh moments! In this films the special effects ... ...his victims! First up is a young lad with a collection of string puppets, so what does Freddy do? Well he pulls out the kids veins and uses these as strings to walk him out of a window to his death, making it look like a suicide. The film also sees the return of Nancy, and her father, developing the story further and giving more of a background. The ending is also a vast improvement upon the previous films. ...

Advantages: Great FX, and a better story and characters than part 2 Disadvantages: Loss of atmosphere. Not as scarey as first movies
...grown up and has become a psychiatrist, specialising in dream therapy. She has been assigned to a mental hospital where the occupants, are teenagers who are all suffering from the same recurring dream. A man in a dirty brown hat with knives for fingers is out to get them, and you guessed it that man is Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund).
All together a much better effort than the previous movie, "Nightmare 3" is one of my favourites of the series, ... ...- "The bastard son of a hundred maniacs". The acting is average, but we do see more character development than the previous movie. Not so much as we are saddened when the characters die but enough to make us go "Oooo". Nightmare 3 sees the series gradually moving away from the true horror genre as Freddy’s character moves out of the shadows, to become a much cooler demon with an endless supply of one-liners. We are treated to lines like "Welcome ...

Advantages: Better sequel than the 2nd Disadvantages: Not as good as the original
...has grown up and become a psychiatrist specializing in dream therapy. She meets a group of children at a local hospital facing Freddy Krueger, the same demon she once encountered in her sleep. One of them is Kristen, who has the power to draw other people into her dreams. Working with a male doctor assigned to the case, Nancy helps the kids realize their special abilities within the nightmare world. When Freddy captures one of her charges, she leads ... ...Verdict:
This is a significant improvement over the second entry in the series. Unlike the second episode, this one has a storyline in which the characters act (mostly) rationally under the circumstances. They try to do something about their nightmares, which is something I liked about the first. Experimenting further with the premise of a supernatural killer who can kill in people's dreams, one character is kind of a psychic and can "pull" other ...
