Advantages: Great DVD Based On The Great Play, Very Festive Disadvantages: Third Spirit Mght Be A Little Bit Scary For Little Kids
...I like the DVD, I like the structure of it, The way in which the spirits are dressed and act is good, Its very festive and good to watch around Christmas time to get you into that Christmas ' y Spirit !
This DVD really shows the watchers the true meaning about Christmas and that we should all be kind at this time of year,
In fact, contemporaries of the time noted that the popularity of the DVD played a critical role in redefining the importance of Christmas and the major sentiments associated with the holiday. Few modern readers realize that A Christmas Carol was written during a time of decline in the old Christmas traditions. Advantages: Very Funny, Bonus Features Disadvantages: Only 2 Episodes
...The Vicar of dibley a very dibley christmas is a funny and imagitive dvd packed with laughs and comedy through out.Dawn French plays the vicar very well and has a great cast of supporting actors. The downside to the Dvd is the running length is quite short for the price and I think although it is a great dvd it is not very good value for money unless you are a die hard vicar of dibley/dawn french fan.The episodes on the dvd are Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with are both feature length episodes. There are also bonus features which include the Comic relief celebrity party, the comic relief antiques roadshow, behind the scenes- dibley defrocked and the epilogues. The dvd retails at £19.99...

Advantages: Really funny and very festive Disadvantages: None
..."The Grinch..." seems to be one of those films which you either love or hate! Well...I loved it! Loved it, loved it, loved it!! It's been so long since a Christmas themed film hit the theatre around Christmastime, and this one is truly a Christmas classic! The storyline is simple...there's a place called Whoville where all the Whos live and they love Christmas. Every year they have a Christmas Cheermeister and this year little Cindy Lou Who has chosen the Grinch to be it. Now the Grinch hates Christmas because his heart is two sizes too small and thus decides to steal Christmas! Jim Carrey is funny (as usual) in the title role and the whole thing is a Christmas treat for all the family!...
