. Once August's Rhapsody starts, Lyla and Louis both hear it. Lyla turns back and Louis realises it is the same kid he met in the park and rushes to the park too.
Both listen to August in awe, with Lyla realising it is her son. Louis spots Lyla in the park and follows her as she heads towards the stage. Louis takes her hand and she smiles at him. At the same time, August turns round and sees Lyla and Louis. A big grin opens on his face as he realises he has found his parents. :o)

I bought this DVD about 2 years ago for myself when I was at University and Christmas was coming up. I was missing my family a lot, and I always saw these shows with my parents every year from when I was about 3 years old. So I knew it would be a great thing for me to watch to feel Christmassy. And this morning I was sorting out my Christmassy films and I found this one on the shelf. Harry grabbed it and kissed Father Christmas, so I put it on for my son's first ever viewing of the classic The Snowman and Father Christmas.
Both of these are stories by the wonderfully talented Raymond Briggs bought to life in animated short stories. The Snowman is probably the best known Christmas story there is for young children, dating all the way back to 1982, 4 years before I was even born! come up with yet. They looked creepy though, puppet-creepy.
It's not one you'd buy on DVD but it's maybe one for a watch around Christmas time. It's now up there in my top three re-telling of the story (at 3rd)
