A Cinderella Story is a teen movie with a bit of romance. Sam lives with her stepmother Fiona who is obsesed with plastic surgery, make up, sunbeds and her nails. She has two daughters named Brianna and Gabriella who are twins.
Sam's dad owned a diner after he died heer step mum took over and has made Sam work there everyday before and after school leaving no time for her to have her own time. Sam isnt very popular at school and gets bullied alot from the popular people. Sam has a secret relationship with a guy. Sam doesnt know is that he is actually a popular guy at her school named Austin.
Austin invites Sam to go to the halloween dance and meet her in the middle of the dance floor at 11pm problem is he already has a girlfriend who hates Sam he tries to break up with her before the dance but she ignores this and says shel meet him at the dance lucky its fancy dress.
Sams has a problem to on the night of the dance , Fionia forces her to work until the diner closer which is at 12 knowing that its the dance and that Sam wants to go to the dance.
Sam is upset but her friends Carter who also goes to the same school and her best mate, and Rhonda who works at the diner helps her get ready and lends her a special wedding dress. As youve guessed she goes as cinderella!
When she gets to the dance she meets one of her friends who believes in aliens and is upset then Austin turns up and doesnt believe that its him until he convinces her they start to dance then play 20 questions while taking a walk outside to a beautiful area where they dance some more. Then realtiy hits and her phone goes off which is when she has to leave to get back to the diner before her stepmum notices shes gone. As she runs home she drops her phone Austin picks it up.
When they go back to school Sam is in schock as when she enters there are posters and leaflets asking who is Cinderella???? but she doesnt think that Austin will like her if she admits who she is.
When Sam finds out that her step sisters have been through her emails and shown the popular girls which one was named Shelby Austins girlfriend what she was upto.Shelby is in the cheerleaders and decides to humiliate Sam to the school and to Austin. Sam is very upset she then gets the courage to stand up to her stepmum and moves out. She stays around Rondas and then visits Austin before the biggest match of the season starts and tells him that if he wants her she wait for him. She watches the match then decides to leave when things get to much. The rest I cannot say as I can't ruin the ending you will have to watch it!!
This is a great movie and very upto date. I like how its been updated into this modern age by using a car, basing it in a school etc. I think that Chad and Hillary didnt really have a connection which let the film down a bit and that Hillarys songs were in the film alot she must of made a mint!
I do like these sorts of film and would reccomend to anyone who like soppy films!
There are funny bits, romantic bits and really sweet bits. This is great for a girly night!

I still think you've given too much away. For me to change my rating to a higher one I'd like to see less plot and some opinion. What did you think of the acting? What did you like/dislke?

Advantages: A very sweet, lighthearted film, for young and old! Disadvantages: Story line was definatly obvious if you knew the 'Cinderella' childrens story.
Advantages: Chad Michael Murray's looks Disadvantages: Predictable, boring, Hilary Duff acting like herself yet again, poor comedy, really unoriginal, idea just wasn’t executed well, lacklustre script, bad direction, terrible soundtrack mainly because Duff sings the majority of the songs.
