The first movie was a classic and since it was a love story, had a serious feel to it. This one, Chinese Ghost Story Number 2, is funny, ... ...said that, this movie has a lot more action and has a lot more magicainary in it. Like you can freeze someone if you paint a sign on your hand and aim it at the person you want to freeze and shout "Freeze!". Funny. Funny in the way that you have to watch it to understand.

The first movie was a classic and since it was a love story, had a serious feel to it. This one, Chinese Ghost Story Number 2, is funny, but sometimes funny at the wrong times... which makes it feel like it's taking the mick.
Having said that, this movie has a lot more action and has a lot more magicainary in it. Like you can freeze someone if you paint a sign on your hand and aim it at the person you want to freeze and shout "Freeze!". Funny. Funny in the way that you have to watch it to understand.
Following from the first movie, the girl ghost has reincarnated and does not have any consciousness of the lover of her previous life. Leslie, her old lover, DOES remember her and is distraught that she doesn't remember him. Does she find out who he is? Does she fall in love with him again? What about her younger sister... ?
Advantages: Builds on everything great about the 1st movie.. and then some Disadvantages: Again like the 1st movie, cultural/historical significance may not be apparent to all

As well as directing, co-writing and producing the OUATIC series, he has also been responsible for such HK classics like "Iron Monkey", the "ChineseGhostStory" series and "The Killer" to name but a few.
Earlier, I said that OUATIC2 bears all the hallmarks ...
