Hello i am new and this is my review on Aliens V's Predator Requiem
After i watched the first of these films i was looking forward to this one hoping there would be more melee style combat than in the first outing.
So in this film the initial Exenomorph {alien} is mixed with the DNA of the predator species creating one bad ass alien possibly more dangerous than the Queens as seen in other Aliens films. After killing the predators on board the ship, this alien crash lands back on earth on the outskirts of a town. Face huggers get loosee killing a boy and his dad hunting and all aliens choose to keeps themselves in the sewer system.
On the predator homeworld a lone predator discovers these rogue aliens back on earth and knows he must kick the skittles out of them before humaity is over run. He also discovers he is up against an alien/ predator strain xenomorph and tools up for some serious fighting.
the film turns into a free for all with human, alien and predator all against each other and the violence is graphic. The plot seems to be more of a blagfest with not too much character development but i guess just enough to keep the film ticking over. Annoyingly most action is spoiled by always being so dark and whilst the director thinks he'a a smart arse for dreating atmosphere it ruins much of the action. Also some scenes are unbelievable, who would walk around the sewer system tryingto find a set of car keys, screw that, call the RAC or something but you don't go down into the sewers and walk around like a sight seeing tour.
Yeah i expected more and it did not deliver and some actors were a little off but the aliens as well as the predators were still really cool.
Worth giving a go if you like your films more action orientated but if not steer clear methinks
