Advantages: Um ... it uses long words. Disadvantages: Plot twists are obvious.
...Sixth Sense was a blockbuster hit for Bruce Willis, starring as the man who finds a boy with a secret. Sounds lame? It got better. The secret is that the little boy can see and talk to dead people. Sounding better? Unfortunately that is where the film stops. The storyline unfolds with the discovery of the boy and Willis's attempts to gain his confidence. Possibly interesting if you're into psychology and sociology as a hobby, but bland obvious and boring if you know any more than the basics of either subject. The film culminates in what is supposed to be a stunning revelation, which indeed pleased many of the people I went to see it with. ...I have watched both the original Pyscho and the new version. And without a doubt The Hitchcock version is by far the best. There is something about the original that steams over the revised version. Norman Bates was more convincing, the setting was more convincing, in fact the whole movie was. Don't get me wrong the new movie has it's place, youngster probably wouldn't watch the original even though we know its better. However, they would watch one at the movies. The two films do run parallel in storyline, most of the time. But in my opinion you can't usually beat the originals....
