AS Revision Psychology DVD

Advantages: creatively shot and of course an excellent british actor in the lead
Disadvantages: a confusing psychological plot which is at most times boring

...Trauma delves into the psychological effects of traumatic experiences. What is to be believed here? Can you really trust everything you see? There is very little to plot here this is more an attempt to allow us to step inside the mind of a trauma victim. However, as much as this is cleverly directed, it makes the film very difficult to watch and to follow. Most people will find it boring, however anyone interested in psychology should check this film out not neccessarily for entertainment purposes but for educational enlightenment. Colin Firth is very good and Mena survari is excellent as the estranged neighbour. The action here seems to come in clusters and is not consistant. Advantages: Good atmosphere movie

...I went to cinema in Toronto to see this movie. I wasn't thinking I would like this film at all, because I am not a big fan of Jennifer Lopez. Have no knowledge of what the film is about, I was surprise it came out so well. It is on of the best sci fi/psychological film so far this decade. With amazing graphics, and a good performance by Lopez, created an unique atmosphere I have never experience before. This is not the best sci fi or psychological movie I've seen in the past, because its story is too thin, not enough twist. But still it has intelligent ideas.... Read review

...This is the most terrifying film that I have ever watched and ever will watch. I swear that this film gave me nightmares and I am usually unaffected by any type of horror films! Despite this I still love it! I think that the psychological aspect of this film is what makes it so frightening, but Jack Nicholson plays the part of the father of the family very well indeed. He goes from being a loving caring father into a ciolent killer, and we see the story of the hotel throughout the movie, but if you look carefully right at the end looking in the framed pictures, the entire movie is brought into perspective in a single second. Anyone that hasn't seen this movie should definitely see it as it is one of my all-time favourites. With the right atmosphere it'll scare you half to death.... Read review
