There are 2 versions of this DVD box set - the 'normal' one has 2 discs and the 'collectors' edition has 3 discs, this review is for the collectors edition.

AC/DC.... for most rock fans the name conjures up many images and memories... guitarist Angus Young and his trademark schoolboy outfit and bluesy solos... Bon Scott's cheeky on (and off)stage persona and raucous vocals... the double entendre laden lyrics from both singers.... Brian Johnson's Geordie accent and flat cap... the Hell's Bell, thecannons..., Malcolm Young's stunning rythym guitar, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd's thundering bass and drums.. and most importantly, the sense of fun an AC/DC concert always was... All of these and much, much more, are to be found on this superb 3 DVD set.

For those of you not in the know, the music of AC/DC has always been straight ahead hard rock'n'roll with a definite blues edge to it. 5 guys, vocalist, 2 guitars - lead and rhythm, bass and drums. Lyrically they have always been very tongue in cheek - some may say sexist even, but that of course depends on your own viewpoint, for me, they always made me smile! So... to the discs....

Disc One - this covers the period when the late great Bon Scott was singer, and the footage is from 1975-1979. The compilers of this disc have obviously gone to great lengths when putting this together as they've dug up some impressive early footage of the band, from TV appearances in 1975/76 through early concert footage from small venues, right through to the late 70's when the band were well on the way to becoming one of the biggest rock acts on the planet. There are also bonus tracks, contemporary interviews with the band members and every part of the disc is a delight to watch, for my own part the footage from my home venue of the Glasgow Apollo holds particularly fond memories.

Disc 2 - this covers all of the Brian Johnson fronted era of the band, with footage from 1981-2003. Included are live tracks from various concerts through the years, plus footage from the VH-1 studio special performance they did in London in 1996, and among the bonus features is an appearance by guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young onstage with the Rolling Stones on their 2003 tour performing the classic blues track 'Rock Me Baby'.

Disc 3 - is called 'Between The Cracks' and features more live and rehearsal footage from the whole of their career, and 9 songs from a 1983 concert in Houston.

On top of the discs you get a nice booklet, copies of old backstage passes, a copy of a 1979 tour poster. The on disc menus are quite amusing, and you can use it to play the tracks as on a jukebox, selecting those you want, or playing them in random order.

All in all, this is a lovingly put together collection of clips - some familiar, some rare, some never before seen - of one of the biggest bands ever to have performed - 150 million records sold worldwide, including 42 million copies of Back In Black alone!

The tracks on the discs are -
