Advantages: If your a Original Star Trek Fan you'll just want this

...I have been a Star Trek fan since they showed the show on the BBC in the 70's. Crikes I even remember being taken by my dad to see ST:TMP at the local ABC cinema (I even remember my kid sister snoring as she fell asleep!). But I digress! Having bought the original series on video in the grand old days of "lets run to WH Smiths every fortnight and fork over £9.99 for the next two episodes" if only I knew! I have had the original series on video for years - with the degradation and grain, I knew it was time to update. When the original series first landed on DVD, I knew I wanted them, but there was no way I was going to fork over £79 a box (lessons learned!), so I waited. Luckily, my wait has paid off, and HMV in there wonderful summer sale has all the boxes going cheap £44 each - nice! The box set is lovely - in command gold... Read review

The film runs for about 165 minutes and was produced by Nariman A Irani (who incidentally died in an accident on set whilst the movie was being filmed). Don has a PG certificate and is a Hindi language film (aka Bollywood). It was filmed in various studios in Bombay in India. To me this was one of Amitabh Bachchan’s best roles during the 70s. Advantages: classic learning fun

...here in the 80's can tell you that Sesame Street proper is an entirely different animal, with a greater variety of learning topics and tools at its disposal. It is for this reason that I have, for the past few years, collected various of the R1 Sesame Street dvds, and while excellent, they are basically stand alone specials, and not the actual show. I was quite delighted when TVSHOWSonDVD.com alerted me to the fact that due to popular demand, Sesame Workshop was releasing several of the actual vintage shows in their entirety in a series of box sets. These box sets are called Sesame Street Old School, and this year for my youngest Sesame Street fan, we bought him Vol 1 for his birthday.
